It's occurring to me seeing the graves that with the way my brother and sister-in-law have been so destructive the past years (over an amount of money that seems like it shouldn't mean THAT much to them), it would probably be silly to ever visit their graves except to hopefully tap dance on their graves, I should live so long and still be able to fake a tap dance.

My only thought is, you've been counting our parents' money for over 6 years now - they were very much alive 6 years ago, and they're still very much alive now.

I received word early this morning that Dad was sick and that Mom didn't know if he had had a stroke or were dehydrated.

She did not bother to call an ambulance. She simply tried to get him an appointment to see his doctor.

She finally got him somehow to an ER, but they didn't admit him to a room for another eight or so hours.

Still no answers on what's wrong with Dad. But he had bad diarrhea and was vomiting, both of which he stopped by the time he got to the hospital. It may have been food poisoning for all we know.

Tonight was the last of Joy's dance classes for the school district for the month. The folks in this class were all over the place in terms of what they could do, with the women far, far better than the men. But tonight, one man really got the new dance, the shuffle, which was a thrill for his wife. They were able to dance around and around the room, enough that they feel they can go out in public. And that's what we want them to feel.

Turns out the man, Jerry, has the same birthday as me, and his wife's is just a few days later.

Right now, I'm at home relaxing to more of this wonderful blues/guitar music from Clapton's Crossroads. Right now, the great Buddy Guy is killing it with Damn Right I've Got the Blues. Wonderful stuff. I could have used this for the West Coast swing part of the class tonight.

TOD 2: I don't understand why vegetarians don't like vegetables enough to eat them. One of the vegetarian restaurants in town has stuff like chicken-fried wheat meat on the menu and no actual vegetable dishes, except a salad. What is wrong with vegetables?

When I was growing up we always had meat on the plate and we had three or four vegetables, most from the garden. I always liked a nice a combination, especially if the colors are bright and inviting, say raw or cooked red cabbage alongside carrots and peas (separately) or a baked tomato with some Parmesan or bread crumbs on top.
