I was going to sleep in, and Annabelle had climbed into bed with me. Stella, wired up from breakfast, wanted to wrestle, so that ended my plans to sleep late. She and Thatch are frolicking like wild things now, and I just heard a crash from behind me.

My London conductor friend sent me his thoughts on the overture: one additional number - a jazz waltz - and an extended coda. The inserted waltz should be easy, once I figure out how I'm getting out of it, and I knew the coad (ending) needed work. I was in a rush to finish it on Thursday and it needed more thought. I should have learned 30 years ago to write the ending first.

The conductor is in Tokyo at the moment. I suspect he may be with the Royal Ballet, and they are in the midst of a typhoon.

DR JohnG, your photos arrive with all of them having the same name of "image." My computer refuses to acknowledge more than one "image" so it will not download them all. If they were "Image 1, Image 2," etc., I would have no problems.

Bowls and litter cleaned, bed made, and I am ready to get to work. At some point - today or tomorrow - I may may take the bedding to the laundry and, while that's going on, give the apartment a good vacuuming.

Aside from eggs and tofu I get my protein from beans and nuts. Also fish when we are out, grilled without a heavy sauce.

Salty our upstairs dog was very excited to see us yesterday and covered us in kisses. It felt good to be missed while we were gone.
