Speaking of food, have you had fava bean falafels in Greece?  The ones we had were almost as good as the fresh fava bean falafels Bryan made us in Ashland.  Nothing like straight from the garden to the kitchen.

And I haven’t thought too much about returning home to a series of job interviews.

Perfect.

John, is this a vacation, or is there food writing business involved, too?

Time will tell. Don’t know yet.

This would be interesting.  If you write a cookbook you can write off your travel expenses ;)

I certainly have gotten the impression that he's been eating on this trip.  Sometimes even more than once every day.

I think I am having a reaction to my flu shot on Friday: my bones ache, I have a chill, and I feel puny.

But I had a ton of e-mails to deal with and then the work session, which only took forty-five minutes and was pretty easy.

Then I had to go right to Doug's to pick up some more Welcome to My World songbooks - third time having to reprint, and I brought him some stuff to scan for an upcoming release.  We went over the What If schedule and The Man Who Came to Dinner schedule.

Then I talked to the actor who'll be covering Barry Pearl and going on the second weekend and the fifth weekend.  I'll be going on the final weekend.

Then I needed a good meal, so I went to Stanley's, got my favored booth, and had the grilled chicken pasta I love, plus a tiny Caesar to start.  Excellent all the way around.

I came directly home and I'm answering more e-mails and listening to music, which is how I think I shall spend the evening.

I hope it is a short lived reaction & you feel better in the morning.  Do you know if it was the quad or the high dose?

I didn't get a reaction.

That is good.  I have had very mild reactions though not in the last few years except for a sore arm.

It was a good run.

And the cast really didn’t want to break up. The closing night par-tay went on to all hours. As did I. And I paid for it dearly when I had to arise after about four hours sleep to drive to the Poughkeepsie area where I was substitute pianist for a church service.

From there, however, I was able to take the most beautiful country roads back to our playhouse for strike. I changed clothes, all the cast showed up, and we had another fine time getting our sh   stuff out of there. My car is still packed to the gills with two keyboards and associated equipment. Tomorrow I clean the Music Room and set everything back up.

And I’m afraid that’s all of my news.

I had a two-hour sleep in the recliner, and it will be time to go to bed soon. Tonight’s sleep will be immeasurably better than last night’s, or Hell will never hear the end of it.

Listening to music - it's interesting - when I go onto YouTube to see what else might be there for composers I discover and like, I always end up finding new composers I've never heard of so last night I found a Swiss composer who's terrific - Richard Flury.  I got all his major works off YouTube and into iTunes, which is good because CDs of his music go for quite a bit of the dough.

I shouldn't post from my tablet in the evenings as I need to avoid things that hurt my shoulder right now.
