Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of both the former and the latter, and now it is time for you to post until both the former and latter cows come home.

And speaking of hair; why didn’t anyone bother to tell me that I would have to shave the top of my nose??

Tom, I looked up why Imodium might be sold behind the counter.  It's the brand name of Loperamide.  According to that Wikipedia page:

Quote
Loperamide has typically been deemed to have a relatively low risk of misuse. In 2012, no reports of loperamide abuse were made. In 2015, however, case reports of extremely high-dose loperamide use were published. Primary intent of users has been to manage symptoms of opioid withdrawal such as diarrhea, although a small portion derive psychoactive effects at these higher doses. At these higher doses central nervous system penetrance occurs and long term use may lead to tolerance, dependence, and withdrawal on abrupt cessation. Dubbing it “the poor man's methadone", clinicians warned that increased restrictions on the availability of prescription opioids passed in response to the opioid epidemic were prompting recreational users to turn to loperamide as an over-the-counter treatment for withdrawal symptoms. The FDA responded to these warnings by calling on drug manufacturers to voluntarily limit the availability of loperamide for public-safety reasons, in an analogous manner to restrictions put on the sales of pseudoephedrine, to be sold only in limited amounts. Since 2015, several reports of sometimes-fatal cardiotoxicity due to high-dose loperamide abuse have been published.

TOD

In high school, it was any foreign language. I took one year of Latin, two of Spanish, two of French, and a speeded up version of German that covered two years in one.

In college, my degree program was screwed up somewhat, so I remember taking a history of jazz class as my only elective. Everything else counted to the degree. What might have been electives ended up being two classes I found out at the last minute I needed to graduate, a science class with a lab (geology) and world geography.

No electives in the master’s program, but I did get to create a lot of classes, like black musicals in the 1920s and Nervous breakdowns in Stephen Sondheim musicals.

I had quite a weird, very restless night of sleep: lots of leg pains and a seriously intense running nose.  I guess I was having less of a light bout of the flu and more of an incoming head cold.

In 30 minutes I will call my physical therapist and learn if my HMO has approved more sessions.  If so, I will go to therapy this morning.  If not, I have plenty to do here.

Much as I've complained about a restless night, I managed to sleep through a frenzied bout of cat romping.  When I got up this morning, the cat tree was overturned and the throw rugs were throwen quite a distance.

Dishes washed, litter cleaned, bed made, and therapy approved for five more sessions.  So I'll have some therapy this morning and talk to my therapist about the appointment with Dr Re last week.

Excellent Turkish-infused lunch today. Instead of the usual Greek salad, we had one with pomegranate seeds, walnuts and cabbage added to the feta, oregano, tomato and cucumber.
