It was time for some of the olives to be harvested. Trees everywhere were covered with so much fruit it was rather difficult to comprehend. Made my poor little tree seem like an underachiever. One tree had olives that were enormous and all were dark black. They looked ready to eat, but I won't get fooled again on that. Ate one olive right from the tree once. Never, ever again.

Is it more difficult to grow the olives with the pimento inside?

I have to be up early in the morning to get to the hospital.

Speaking of hospitals, sorry to read Jeanne’s surgery has been postponed.

Oh, anyway, my brother-in-law is finally having his heart surgery.

I had already read the book, but somehow, hearing him say some of these things out loud is a little more shocking than reading them.

Lotta doings going on today. Mom was told that she's not capable of helping Dad anymore, so she was ready to sell the house, as if that would do anything. She hasn't been able to get the house ready to sell for the past four years. I don't know why she'd be able to do it now. Plus, there's a waiting list for every place that might be able to take Dad, which she doesn't realize. Home help, however, might be doable. She just has to bring herself to the point where she can accept that.
