Fortunately, I now have an adjustable bed, so that I can sit up to read or watch TV without any effort.

That's good.

It’s hot here compared to Chicago. After midnight, it’s 69 degrees.

That would be Nick the kitty, not some bum I found sleeping under my bed.

I would hope so!  Unless "Nick" isn't a bum but some hunky hunk. ;)

If Nick was a hunky hunk, he wouldn’t be under the bed!

DR Jeanne, I'm happy that your water was delivered but dismayed about where it was left.  When our elevator was out, I was grateful that Val was willing to carry 40 lbs of kitty litter up three flights for me.

Packages are frequently left at the base of the stairs. Usually that's fine, but when it's the water I open the box, then carry two bottles at a time up the stairs, necessitating 6 trips.

Our mail delivery isn't very good to start with. I no longer put out outgoing mail because they don't pick it up. I've talked with the supervisor repeatedly, and she seems to want things done right, but the carriers seem to do as they like. This incident was a new low. Not only is it completely disrespectful to people with disabilities, it's disrespectful to the average able-bodied person who can't lift heavy packages.

Perhaps she was afraid that she might drop it and break it, in which case she would have to notify her supervisor that her water broke.

So sorry to hear about Vixmom's fall. That's some political dedication.

I hope you're not at work today, but suspect that you are. Vibes that you're feeling better soon!

I am just achy and bruised, no real damage done

Feel better vibes to DR vixmom!

They killed one of the original stars off on the 6th episode of the season.

In these kinds of TV show killings, I always wonder if it was the actor who wanted out of the show, or if the producers wanted to get rid of the actor.
