I have two questions for ASK BK DAY:

1. Are you having ONE or TWO intermissions in your production...and where are you putting it [them]?

2. When timing your acts how do you account for audience response?

1.  As written with two intermissions - act one ends with Sherry having gotten the idea for Lorraine to come and sings his little ditty.  Act two ends with the radio broadcast and Miss Preen's amazing curtain line.

2. The audience response is, of course, always an unknown.

Busy brain this morning.  I've completely  rethought how we're opening the acts and going from act one scene one to act one scene two - I originally had a really funny pre-show announcement planned and written, but the powers that be stupidly want to sell subscriptions and tout the new season.  I had no choice and to do the pre-show AFTER that just seems stupid now.  But it was very clever.  So, I've sent off the music cue sheet for all that.  Then I rethought a few other things that just aren't working for me, and all of that will be implemented this evening.

Michael Apted has a new installment in his documentary series. This is 63 Up. I’m excited beyond belief. I feel as if I’ve lived with and know these people from when they were kids at the time of 7 Up to now.

I've seen a couple of those and would like to see them all.  One of the libraries in my area has some of them.

The cake smells wonderful. Dishes in the dishwasher. Clothes in the dryer.

I could use a nap. I'll have to wait until the cake is out of the pan and resting.

Watching a Portuguese/French film called Gebo and the Shadow. It's based on a play and it plays like one, but it's fairly interesting.

Moreau has just shown up. This might have been her last movie. She's definitely ill, but she's so happy to be working that her performance is full of life even in a tale of death.

Such perfect curtain lines for the intermissions.

Ah....so your planned timings are times without the audience response......

Our two-hour breakfast meeting morphed into an additional four-hour editing/proofing session, and I am worn the hell out. And now it's time for a rehearsal! It's also our last one till the Sunday afternoon sitzprobe, and I'm not quite sure how that happened, but I'll take it.

I do believe BK and I have another op'nin' another show on the same night.

Had a spicy Eyetalian Subway for lunch, picked up some packages, including a DGA screener of Booksmart.

DR VIXMOM that is a unique situation.....as DR GEORGE said....here we have to scan something and then put it in the bag...there is a weigher/scanner that keeps track.

If anything is put in the bag and not scanned there is a buzzer AND a watcher who keeps an eye on everything and everyone.

I rarely if EVER use the self checkout......something always goes wrong.....but then I use cash instead of my card, I'm a Luddite....as former DR JMK used to say.

That system is at the BJs which is the same sort of warehouse club  as Costco

At the stop and shop supermarket you pick up your scanner gun on the way in and you can scan and bag as you’re going through the aisles.

One of the office managers of Brick-Run Sports Therapy brought his oldest daughter to the office today.  Here she is with Gurjeet's dog, Shelby.

They are both adorable
