I see my doctor at 10:30, and I'm hoping I can get more muscle relaxers and pain meds out of her. I also need to call physical therapy and see if my referral for more sessions was approved.

Last night I had two dreams I remember bits of. In the first, I was a 2nd or 3rd rate German comedian named Hans in a comedy act with my wife and another man. In the dream, the other man had not show up, and my wife and I were performing on a platform about 12 feet wide and maybe 10-15 feet long, about 20 feet off the ground. I was having major acrophobia issues since there were no guard rails , and the big crowd we were promised was a handful of people in a huge space.

In the second dream, my cousin Sue Ellen and I were in a store like Target or Walmart. I was looking at the magazine rack for something, then I bought a chap stick at the register. She and I went to a lower level to meet my dad to celebrate his 98th birthday, which will actually be this coming December 14.

Today's fresh hell: as I sat on the toilet seat and sifted the litter, a drop of water fell on me. I have a bad ceiling leak. Because I currentl;y cannot stand up straight, it's an ordeal to look up, The ceiling shows signs of a leak that has run across the ceiling above the sink and the toilet and to the corner where the litter box sits. I am not happy about this.

Our neighbor has already plowed, which is a godsend. I'll still have work to do with the snowblower. But even more critical is the salting and sanding I'll have to do later, on the stuff that's still on the road from Round One of this storm.

We got about three inches of snow on top of that last night.

Well, the snow tires get put on Thursday morning. I blew it this year. I always try not to have them on too early and too late in the season, but I should have known.

I winterized my bed in late October because of the sudden cold spell. Since then I've been sleeping every night under a sheet and no more. I don't know when the apartment's going to be cold again!
