Had a phone call, which has now delayed the ending of the movie. I still have about an hour to go.

Laura, he's asking to be picked up? Or demanding it?

Never Look Away was directed by the man who made The Lives of Others, which remains one of the best movies I've ever seen. This was not quite that good, but I think it needed the 3 hours to tell its tale properly.

Do we need a live version of Young Frankenstein the Musical? We’re getting one.

You mean, live on TV?  Because I saw it live in Seattle.

Live on TV. I slept through it here in SA.

Just wanted to make sure.  Do you know which station?  Fox, NBC, ABC?  I have heard anything about this, yet.

ABC.

Thanks for the link, John.  Roger Bart was really good when I saw the pre-Broadway run in Seattle, but I think that it would be cool if they got Zachary Levi to play Frankenstein ("It's Frahnkensteen!").  He was supposed to originate the role on Broadway, but then his TV show Chuck got picked up and he had to drop out of the musical.

I like Levi.

Sounds like a pushy person at a singles bar.

It was sad to read that Buck Henry had passed away.

I hadn't realized, among many things, he'd invented the "cone of silence" shtick on GET SMART.  The posit said he left that show after two years, though.

Also, the memorable "Plastics" exchange in THE GRADUATE, which he co-wrote, or, I guess, actually took over writing at Mike Nichols' request.

Ask BK:  I’m just curious as to what the song is that is super complicated to play.

The movie version of The Glamorous Life.

I really must be losing my mind, as my close personal friend, Mr. Stephen Sondheim, once said.  I thought I'd posted when I got up, but I think I got involved in a phone call and then went right to futzing and finessing.

I printed out 311 pages, got a copy made, ate lunch - chili, cheese, and onion hot dog and some fries - picked up one package, dropped the 311 pages off to Muse Margaret, and came home and wrote twenty pages, after which I had to mosey on over to the theater.

We had a great rehearsal and everything is blocked save for the final ten pages, so we'll finish blocking tomorrow night and then go back to the beginning and slog our way through.
