Yesterday I forgot to say what I do for depression or dark moods.  I used to run & dance. Now I walk.  I make lists in my head of the positive things in my life.  I also remind myself that this will pass and to just wait it out.

We had a quick, efficient, and invaluable brush-up last night and are back at it tonight. Fasten your seat belts, this and the following two weekends include a Sunday matinee.

Don’t deprive the audience of your talent, go do what you do so well!

Amen.

I often turn to music, and I Wish You a Waltz from Ballroom is one song that often helps. Or just about anything by Cole Porter. A novel by P.G. Wodehouse is also a big help. He can make me laugh like few others with just a twist of a sentence or the merry mangling of the language.

Music and reading also take me out of my thoughts.  Unfortunately I don't listen to music much anymore, and now that I don't have a CD player on my computer even less.  I listen to it while using the weights at the gym and then turn it off when I get on the treadmill & begin to read.  If I walk alone I listen to music.  Walking & music is a great combination, no wonder so many people do it.

Elmore, someone on castrecl mentioned the novel, Gowns by Roberta, recently. So, I ordered it on an inter library loan. The first few paragraphs are hysterically funny in a bad sort of way. I think I am going to love this. Have you read any more books by Alice Duer Milker? The Beauty and the Bolshevist sounds wonderfully campy.

What an opening line.

I can't imagine a computer without a disk tray DR JANE.  But I am not surprised.....

I am going to look at computers next time I am at WalMart and see if that is the latest thing.

I guess you could put your music on a flash drive.....I guess.

DR TCB I think going to callbacks would be entertaining.....you still don't have to do the part if you don't want to.

I've read the novel twice.  I bought a copy while we were preparing for the recording and then when I was writing the recording notes.  I've never read any of her other novels.

I'm up, I'm up - nine hours of sleep.  I was up at eleven and have been answering e-mails and I think I'll go get a proper lunch today.

The regular computers had them but not the all in one.  The all in one has a nice sound board on it where the standard computer I was looking at needed better speakers on my desk.

No flash drive for me.  My desk faces the door to my office which is one of the reasons I prefer the all in one computer.  The back looks nicer than the monitors and has fewer visible cords.

All of the computers here at work no longer have disc drives.  I actually need one for my work, so they got me a USB player, and it's been fine, except now it seems that it doesn't play DVD-/+R discs.  I need to check potentially defective items that come in from branches, and some (rarely, though) are DVD-/+R discs.  I need to be able to see what's wrong, so this will eventually need to be dealt with.

Today at work, I'm supposed to get a new Windows 10 computer.  I (and most people) still have a Windows 7 Professional, but at least one of the major databases that a lot of us go to no longer support Windows 7.  We'll see how it all works out!
