And did anyone notice the unfortunate juxtaposition of news headlines this morning on AOL?  Right under the teaser for the latest on the Schiavo case, there was a teaser for the article dealing with soprano, Deborah Voigt, going public about her gastric bypass surgery in order to lose weight.

*Ms. Voigt received a bit of "bad" publicity last year when she was fired from a production at Covent Garden for being too "ample" for the director's concept of the role she was engaged to sing.  And as it turned out, she had the surgery the day she was supposed to have sung the opening performance of the opera she was released from.

In any case...

Sheesh!

I'm sitting here in my living room, and it smells like:

A) My roomie put a fresh refill in the plug-in air freshener.
B) He sprayed on too much cologne earlier.
C) His boyfriend - who is in town - sprayed on too much cologne earlier.
D) My roomie spilled his cologne.
E) His boyfriend spilled his cologne.
or
F) ALL OF THE ABOVE

-My eyes are actually bothered by it.  And my nose is going on overload.

Ah, well...

I've been home for a little bit now, and my housemate's cat is climbing all over me.  My housemate (Peter) is at his girlfriend's house ;) and won't be home tonight.  His cat, I think, misses him.  She keeps scratching on the kitchen cabinets.  I open them up so she can explore, but then she still scratches on the open doors.  What's that all about? ???

And where are the photographs of Easter partaying and pyjamas, that is what I, BK, would like to know.

Well, at my parents' house house, we didn't take pictures.  We just looked at pictures of my parents when they were young.  It's amazing how different someone can look after only 40 years! ;) Anyway, my dad had a set of negatives of him and one of his brothers and their mother.  I took them home with me.  I wanted to see if I could scan and make prints of them.  Well, I'm sure that a professional photography place would do much better, but here's one that must be from the early 1960s.  The top picture is of my dad and the bottom half is of my dad (in the middle), one of his brothers (I don't know which) and their mother, my grandmother.  It's somewhat washed out, but it sort of worked!

I'd never seen any of these negatives before!

Well...  It's been a long day... I'm gonna put the last load of laundry in the dryer, and just take it out and fold it in the morning...

I have to get to work early so that I can get home early in time for the first HHW chat in quite a while!!  So, I'm doing the Wussburger.

Goodnight, all!
