Well, you've read the notes, the notes had miles that disappeared, and now it is time for you to post until the disappearing cows come home.

That's a neat little GIF, BK. :)

To continue with the story from last night of my project:  because there was no power junction box in the ceiling for either light, I had to make a slight modification to make room for the wires.  This is what is supposed to be directly attached to the ceiling:

And here's the back of the new light fixture:

Those pieces of wood were from pants hangers with the wires removed.  Anyway, it took me a couple of tries to put up the first light fixture.  I had to take down the first plate and move the whole thing over one inch so that the fixture itself would fit in the alcove.  I did all of that on Sunday.  Today, I put up the second fixture (measuring more carefully) and it all works!  Here's the finished look! :D

I know it looks kind of weird, but I just want to see in my kitchen.  And since they're LED and there's no ballast, they're silent!

George, you are a very brave man!

Thanks, jan!  But I've swapped out many light fixtures over the years, so I have a pretty good idea of what I'm doing...usually. ;)

Today, I went to the store and got some milk and two 6-packs of little individual pre-made graham cracker pie crusts because I had a box of sugar-free cook-on-the-stove pudding mix and wanted to finally use it.  So, after the lights were up and running, I made the pudding and filled all 12 pie crusts!  I thought each would hold more pudding, but they didn't.  Anyway, I ate one to celebrate!

Sadly, they can't be shipped.  If you visit, I'll save you one.

In that case, I'd take you to a local restaurant.  I'm not much of a cook.  I can get by for myself, but for others, it'd be better to let professionals do the cooking.  Then, I'd provide the dessert.
