OUT ON A LIMB
« on: April 04, 2005, 11:59:43 PM »

Well, you've read the notes, you know which limb I've gone out on, and now it is time for you to post until the cows and their various and sundried limbs come home.

As for the Topic of the Day, I don't know the characters that well...I've only seen one high school production and the movie once.  I'll give it some though and see what characters other people choose to cast. ::) But I will start with these two:

Cassie:  Dame Edna
Zach:  Lea Delaria

:o ;D

I know that A Chorus Line was based on the stories of actual performers, but when I was in high school (and the show was still playing on Broadway), a friend of mine told the story that some of these people auditioned for the final show and didn't get cast to play themselves!  Is this true??

I think one of the cast got to speak her sister's lines.
I'd need to go back and read the books on the subject.

At the risk of sounding like a PBS station in its 52-times-yearly Pledge Week, let me resubmit a request:

Angel Jim is going before the Parole Board once again today in Attica Correctional Euphemism Facility.

So let's please hear them VIBES, hopefully (solecism) for the last time.

I remember the SOPwith Camel on the same label as The Lovin' Spoonful, and who had a very odd and compelling song called Hello, Hello.

DR SWW, I think you are right, it is The McGuire Sisters.

A friend brought me his copy of U-571 to test in my DVD player. After working well for a long time, he tried playing it over the weekend, and the DVD started hanging up in the player after about 40 minutes. I told him I'd test it for him at some point today.

And I don't mind since I haven't seen it in over a year, it'll be nice to experience it again. I really liked it the first time I saw it.

This has happened to me before. The first copy of L.A. CONFIDENTIAL I had played great the first two times through my machine, but then it started pixillating after it changed layers. And it would do this in all the DVD players around the house. Very strange.
