Richard Nelson, a playwright I mostly enjoy, has “premiered” his latest work online. What Do We Need to Talk About? Conversations with Zoom is on YouTube through Sunday. It’s only an hour+, but it has a good cast and might be worth checking out.

His book for Chess on Broadway was riotously bad. But there was no winning that one.

  • Like so much fish!

I am awake at all hours these days...dates, days, and
time have become meaningless.

Boy, do I feel the same way.  Having my office at home, I find I'm working at all hours of the day and night but also relaxing during the day when I normally don't. The first thing I have to do each morning is figure out what day it is, so I know what deadline I have today.  It's strange, but I'm kind of liking it

Well, got the sentencing done.  I wore my N95 mask again, but I think I'm allergic to it.  I did get a regular mask yesterday and I'm going to start wearing that unless I'm at Walmart or the grocery store.

I was up until after 2:00 am working on administrative stuff for the office.  Man it feels good to be catching up.

I'm taking the rest of the day off.   I do have some office work to do over the weekend, but not today.

There are a bunch of bare spots on my lawn, so i think I'll run to the farm and home store and get some grass seed.  We're supposed to have rain tonight and tomorrow, so I should be able to just spread it out and let nature take it's course.

I noticed some of my lilacs are in bloom. I love the smell of lilacs.

I wish I could go into a store here.  I need a tripod for my camera.   I did talk to a professional photographer friend who told me what to get, so i may just order one

  • Have a REALLY nice day!

This has been a dreadful morning of frustration.  I've called my HMO twice for account info and each time I've tried to speak to a customer service re, the line goes dead.  I called Suad about finishing up this unemployment business and she was offto a meeting so I'm waiting on a return call.  My printer keeps going offline.  Agh!

Agh!

Keith said to tell you he had an MRI and the sterilization of the room & equipment was excessive, including the check in process.  He figures NY is even more caution.  I hope that makes you feel better.

Sorry about that.  I didn't have a problem with my K95, but then I only wore it at the market.  Yesterday we walked to the coffee shop, for the walk and for me to go in and buy a bagel and leave a tip.   Only 2 people are permitted in at a time and only the owner is there, though she isn't wearing a mask.  I figured my little mask was fine and I didn't need to walk with something bulky.

Do you have a Best Buy near you?  They have curbside pick up.

I got an oil change for the car today. They said they cover the seat with plastic, but they don't sanitize anything.

So I wiped as much down as I could and left the windows open while I drove home. I hope that is enough.

While they did that, I went to the grocery store next door. It's a big store, but I thought it was crowded. Lots of people without masks. It was my first trip to a grocery store; I had been to CVS a couple times and Sprouts earlier, neither of which were crowded at all.

I may be able to convince my DH to do curbside pickup after this.

Love the BBC Proms orchestra on this.

https://youtu.be/t--e0S5kelY

Actually, it's the John Wilson Orchestra at the Proms.  This is the only recording in good sound of the entire original Broadway production number arranged by Trude Rittman.

Thanks for the clarification. The sound is super.

Thank you both for the reminder! I was thrilled to listen to this a while back, and I want to record it however I might.

Our Governor just rolled out his 5 Stage plan to open Indiana....all subject to change of course.

May 11 will have barbershops and malls and stores open at 50% capacity.....beauty shops and barbershops etc by appt. only, restaurants at 50% capacity and social distancing.

Malls at 50% capacity and social distancing must be observed.

Stage Three on May 24.......Stage Four June 14....and full opening with social distancing on July 4.

This all depends on the numbers and is subject to change.....local governments can impose their OWN guidelines if they wish.

Folks over 65 and at risk folks are still encourage to stay home.....until further notice.....

Plastic should do it.  Good luck and stay well.

It sounds like our Fred Meyer which we try to avoid.
