My Mac should be running again in another hour.  I walked to the bank, and between the heat and humidity I was soaking wet when I got home around 12:30, I stripped to my boxers and lay down with Thatch and Stella for a bit  Around 2:00 I decided to take a cool bath.

I was in bed by three and it is now six and I have not slept one moment.

This is unusual for you.  I hope you managed to sleep.

We went to Safeway this morning.  It wasn't crowded and felt comfortable to shop, still these days we like to get out as fast as possible.

I snagged Method Coconut Water Foam soap today.  I was selfish and purchased two bottles.  I gave one to Keith and checked out separately from him with the items I had picked up.

I also picked up a box of mini ice cream cones for my Häagen-Dazs.  I have been eating more cones these days and only had one left.

After putting the groceries away we went to the post office and then drove over to Fort Vancouver for our morning walk.

I'm up, I'm up - was up at ten after about three and a half hours of sleep, went back to bed at noon, woke up at one.  I'll take the four and a half hours and hopefully whatever movie I choose for later will put me right to sleep.

I'm back from my every-other-weekly or whatever it's been trip to the grocery store. I only wanted half a dozen things, and it was time to both get out for a bit and to take the car for a drive.

I got the items I wanted, and I could even have picked up some TP and PT, but we just don't need any yet. It's just good to see some of these precious items actually on shelves in the paper aisle. I didn't think to look for sanitizer and wipes because we're well stocked on that, too.

Good to hear the Mac will be good to go once the restoring is finished.

I hope Jeff will be on the AC job soon!

I've got two (count 'em) of my friends' Facebook Live things to watch tonight, and you know what I'm really most in the mood to do instead?

Sit back and watch a damned movie.

Let's see. I'll be juggling the two FB things that both start at 7:30, and they should both be done by 9:00. So damn it to HELL, why not just have a good movie ready to pop in afterwards? I ask you.

But wait a minute. 7:30 is almost two and half hours from now. It feels later than 5 pm because of my running around. I'm going to go down and watch something now. Yes, that's the ticket.

Oh! I've got the second half of SHIP OF FOOLS to watch. Shame on me, because I watched the first half several nights ago. I never let an interruption go that long. So, SHIP OF FOOLS, coming right up!

And I am back on my iMac!  It took forever to get going after all the hard drive files were transferred, but I am back online and very happy.

I did not see Jeff the super, so it's another AC-less night.

The day’s thunderstorm is rumbling through. I hope there’s no hail. Plenty of folks I work with suffered hail damage last night. Car dents, broken windows, roof damage.

T.O.D.

When I was in high school, I avoided seeing CITIZEN KANE because it looked boring.

Then, when I was in college, it was on TV.  I watched it and was "blown away".

I know that some people disagree with me, but I am among those who think it's the greatest American film ever made.
I always think it’s going to be dry beforehand. But turn that movie on and I’m hooked every time.

Carol is home from the hospital. She’s having a bad bout of pneumonia.
