After all that, I came home and fed my cat and myself, read some more of Simply, and here I am.

T.O.D.

I was never a big Joel McCrea fan, but Randolph Scott is probably my favorite Western star.

Sorry Duke.

In fact, when I was a publicist, Budd Boetticher, who directed seven of Scott's best films, was a client. A framed lobby card from THE TALL T, signed by both Scott and Boetticher, is hanging on my wall.

I never met Scott, though I did do a brief phone interview with him once when I was researching my Basil Rathbone book.

Every time I hear/read the name of Randolph Scott, I think of THIS SONG. :))

Every time I think of Randolph Scott, I think of Cary Grant.

Today is our 51st wedding anniversary.  It is a strange one.  As long as we are together is what counts.  While not the most exciting, it certainly isn't the worse one we have had.  We will be happy if it stays that way.

A Very Happy 51st Wedding Anniversary to Jane and Keith!! :D

Well, there's that, too. ;)

I watched Part One of the LAUREL CANYON documentary on EPIX last night.....it was so wonderful to see the films and especially to hear the music......

And I, too, thought about the song from LA NOW & THEN......

While helping my sister with the tarps for the chicken coop, my sister's boyfriend (who also helped) mentioned that he was going to watch this.

That Sondheim feller can certainly write for strippers. I’d never seen this staged.

I've seen that.  It's pretty cool!

But this time, we turned it around so that the patched holes didn't hit the coop in the same places.

So, all the chickens who moved their spot to avoid the rain, will find themselves back in the rain.

HOPEFULLY, not.  Hopefully, my sister taped all the holes so that the tarp shouldn't leak into the coop anymore...hopefully.

No, I didn't.  What did he talk about?  I can watch it on On Demand later.

Josh sent this message about 20 minutes ago:

I spoke with the hospital and Larry is out of surgery and resting in his room. He is in a bit of pain and tired, but the surgery went well.  I hope to hear from him at some point tomorrow (if he's up to it) and will send along details and updates as I get them.

Great news...so far!

Our President vs the protestors.  Very powerful!

I'll definitely watch it later.  I'm sure it'll be on YouTube, also.

You can go to flightradar24.com and see the aircraft that are in the air. I can see that a police helicopter has been circling downtown Phoenix for some time now. It might be interesting to monitor your town.

This is what was happening over Olympia a little earlier:
