Jane, I love Mr. Blandings, except for the paint scene, which is causing me nightmares now. I can’t find the right colors for my house and I think I’m going to end up with the same white and green nonsense from those idiotic workers from the movie.

Also, Jane, I’ve read all of Cathie Pelletier’s books. She’s incredibly empathetic, which is probably what I like most about her. Her characters are just so human. You don’t have to read them in any order, though the first three books (The Funeral Makers, Once Upon a Time on the Banks and The Weight of Winter) are sort of a trilogy.

I slept very well until 3:00AM.  I was awake, and I kept hearing a cat having sneeze attacks.  I thought it was Stella, but ut tunred out to be Annabelle, who was not in her usual night-time aerie up in the bookcases.  I decided to use the toilet, and all three cats followed me.  Once in the bathroom, neither Annabelle nor Stella had any sneezing fits, and I checked their noses.  So, I went back to bed, Thatch curled up beside me, and I slept fine until the alarm rang.

I didn't go to sleep until after 3:30.

We had a nice video chat with the grand kid and began planning our visit to meet her.  It is scary going but too sad not to go.

Instead of a long visit as planned prior to all of this, it will be a very short visit.

Yesterday, I "fired" the guy who was doing the audio edition of my PETER LORRE one-person play.

Long story, which I won't bore you with.

If you know an ACTOR who does a good "Peter Lorre" and does audios, please have him contact me.

Good vibes finding a new actor.

During our numerous remodels in various home we had laughed about that scene.

Tip about deciding on pain colors.Inside we paint large patches on the walls, outside we have painted boards and put them against the house.

Thursday afternoon greetings!  Richard and I had a busy day yesterday, requiring 2 trips in the car, 1 Zoom meeting for us together, and 1 for him alone.  We picked up groceries in the morning and library books in the afternoon.  Right after dinner we, together "attended" the Middletown Historical Society annual meeting, then Richard "went" to Evening Prayer.  Whew, that's a lot for one day after 3 months plus of quarantine!

I go for my four mile walk every day. Wouldn't you think I'd lose a pound or two? Not me. I gained.

I  stopped at Sprouts, where everyone was wearing a mask. I bought salad makings, some fruit, and some broccoli to go with the never-ending squash in my weekly vegetable box. So much squash.

BK, my DH's battery went dead in his truck probably the same day yours went out. In Phoenix they go bad because of the heat. He had driven several times over the past couple of weeks. Batteries just don't last long here.

He probably started the car twice that morning. The third try -- at the pharmacy -- it was so dead it couldn't be jump-started.

Wasn't that an exciting story? As Sandra and I would say, "Remember that one, and tell it again on Freedom Day."

TOD:  I think I'd rather have the country worried about the pandemic than give false hope that it's over.  There are enough fools out there who seem to believe it is.

Adam Schiff is on CBS This Morning to discuss John Bolton's book, which I've ordered.  When Trump, who does nothing but spread lies and misinformation, calls Bolton a liar I have to laugh.

As we all know, Trump does nothing but project, so when he calls Bolton a liar, well... ::)

I got a residual check yesterday for KEATON'S COP, the first film script I sold.

That movie is 30 years old, and it keeps on giving.

I love residuals.

Congrats, Druxy!
