Thank you MR BK.  I thought of someone it would be good for, and I had forgotten where to find it.....

Back from banking.  I decided to take a chance at my local branch and avoid the trip to the other bank.  The line outside wasn't too bad, I found parking space instantly, and the wait was only about seven minutes.  We were able to do everything that needed to be done, so that was good.  The whole thing took fifteen minutes.

The big question o' the day: Do I want to try my first ever lobster roll - it can be had for twenty bucks free delivery.  Or do I want to go to Gelson's and get a steak?

Mayo or butter sauce on the lobster roll?

Why am I asking? I’m such a lobster slut, I even had one at McDonald’s in Maine.

Maine is mayo. Connecticut is butter.

Butter for sure.  What do you think?  Is one enough?

I've had them at McDonald's, too, but they're only available out east, like around Mystic.

And as much as I love (Hellman's/Best) mayo on other things, I can't imagine why you wouldn't always want the butter on lobster. I guess I should try it some time.

At the Dollar Tree almost every customer was wearing a mask - and of course all of the employees were.

In WalMart - I would guess about 20% of the folks were wearing masks....moms there with the kids - no masks.....older folks....no masks.....

Yay for Dollar Tree.

When we were at Safeway the only 3 people in the store not wearing masks were a mother and her two children.  Unfortunately they were right next to me picking out toys to buy.  I wanted to glare at them.  Instead I turned my back to them and finished getting what I needed so I could skedaddle.

"Annie" was the first song I turned to when I got my book and sat down to play through some of it. What I should do is sit down and properly learn the whole thing. I know a couple of gals who would sing the hell out of "Annie" and probably a few others.

Edit:  Also, how fascinating would it be to introduce them to that song in particular, because these are good singing actresses with plenty of familiarity with Annie, but there's no way they would ever have heard of any of this.

So, I went to the dentist today for a teeth cleaning, and he didn't clean my teeth.

Why?

Because I wouldn't sign a long legal form that told of all the ways I could get the virus in his office.  Very scary.

So, I put off my cleaning until January.

I brush and floss several times daily; also use a strong mouth wash.

By January, I figure that this thing will be over, or we'll all be dead.

WOW!

Well, we do have some reports of a second pandemic from swine flu coming our way. So, we could be doubling our fun.

Yup.

DR George.  We had been using the Johns Hopkins covid site.  This one seems a bit simpler. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

It’s a when in Rome ... attitude. If I am in Maine, I’ll take it with mayo, because that’s all they offer.

That’s the one I’m using. I like the county breakdown on the far right.

I've been feeling lucky, in that people here are consistently masking up in stores and offices. A lot of places have a sign saying you must have a mask on to enter, but I think it's the rule anyway.

As for the doctor or dentist.... that's bizarre. When I went in for my procedure last Friday, I'd already been advised to wear the mask, and that they would check my temperature at the door. And that was it. There was no other hassle.

The only papers I signed were their standard ones relating to the procedure.

That's generally my attitude, too. I'll definitely try it.

The neighbor above me is moving out.  God knows what the new one will be like.  I took the recyclables and cartons to the basement and got stranded because they turned off the elevator on 4 and I thought it was broken.  I was terrified I was stranded and yelled my head off before it began running again.

The cats got lots of treats and cat food today, and I'm even trying a couple of Friskies flavors.  Stella and Thatch loved their Friskies Salmon and Gravy.  Annabelle had Purina dry food.

Today is the birthday of my British conductor friend Martin Yates.  The orchestration that I was working on for the past three months was a gift to thank him for the work over the past couple of years.  The nice thing is that it will be delivered today to his home in France.

That's great, Larry!

My question for ASK BK DAY.....which I am sure has been asked and answered before.....

Is your song ANNIE published anywhere?

I am not BK, DR Jrand69, but I can answer that one. It's in here.
