Good Evening!
Steve ended up picking me up around 2:30, and we headed out to get lunch - which turned out to basically be his breakfast. We headed over to our good ole stand-by, Joe's. Nice lunch, although Steve's lunch - fried tilapia - was a little overdone - but still very filling nonetheless. I ended up with a cup of lentil soup, a grilled turkey, cheddar and bacon sandwich. Oh, and some onion rings.

After lunch, we headed back to his old place to pick up some "soft stuff" - his clothes, some smaller fragile items the movers did not take, etc. Then it was back to his new place where we unpacked a couple of things. We both sat down for a bit, and ended up taking an impromptu nap. Then came a run to the grocery store, and Steve dropped me off on the way back to his new place.
-Oh, and Ben & Jerry's is on sale this week at Ukrop's.

Steve's new place is very nice. It's basically two BIG rooms - a bedroom and dining/living/office space. And a bathroom and kitchen. Unfortunately, Steve discovered the other day while setting up some of his new furniture, that the "odor" from the neighbor's kitchen next door somehow sneaks into his apartment. -His landlord informed him that his neighbor is from Trinidad.

-Oh, and Steve also realized that he could hear the conversations going on next door in his bedroom. And pretty distinctly too. So... He placed a call into his landlord - well, property manager - and informed of the problems. They sent some workmen to recaulk and reseal some "cracks" - it's a converted warehouse space, so there's lots of old wood, etc. Well... As we woke up from our naps, we realized that we smelled something cooking again. We walked into the hallway and couldn't smell anything out there. Ah, well... He'll see how his first weekend goes.
OH! Steve decided to give his piano a try to see how the tuning held through the move. After a few bars, we heard a "knocking" sound on the wall. Hmmm... Steve played some more. No more "knocking". Maybe it was just a coincidence. But if it wasn't.... If Steve has to smell his neighbor's cooking, then they can listen to Steve's piano playing.

...Well, that ended up longer than I expected...
