I just remembered the odd servant of two masters dream I had last night. I was hired to be Leonard Bernstein's assistant while he was in New York on some assignment, and he gave me three things to be photocopied, ten of each. Then I was riding in a taxi with him and John Mauceri and the drivere dropped us off in a cemetery. Then I got an offer to be in a Broadway production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, which my friend Tripp - who stage managed the 2009 revival of Finian's Rainbow - was stage managing. Bernstein was not happy about this, and I insisted I could do both. I misplaced the three thngs to be photocopied, and I was looking for them when I woke.

My friend Charlie Harmon was Bernstein's personal assistant for several years, His book makes it sound like a nightmare. I should have included it in yesterday's list of books.

The eye of round steak turned out okay. I baked them with some baby potatoes - I put in a can of vegetable soup for flavoring and also added some dry steak seasoning that I saw on the shelf at the store that looked good.

It will be nice tomorrow, too.

I was at WalMart this morning because I needed bananas and bread - but I also bought a few more things.

I used the self check-out again. So their plan has worked - I will probably use it instead of waiting in line again.....

I'm up, I'm up - got up at eleven-thirty after about seven-and-a-half hours of sleep but have been dealing with Kritzerland show stuff ever since, then went and got mail and packages - one important envelope but not THE important one, BUT - the one that was there may have been from yesterday so I suppose there's a chance that the mail for today wasn't out yet. They were pretty busy.
