The guy who's driving him to church called to confirm that he would pick up my dad at 9:00.  He showed up at about 9:00 and off they went.

I am surprised he is going to church.  Are precautions being taken?

I can only assume.  My dad did have a mask.

I'll be leaving my parents' house fairly soon, and my sister will come over before my dad gets back.  I just have to figure out how to let their cat in without letting in the gray cat that's not theirs. ::)

;D  Friend or foe?  Maybe they gray cat wants to move in?

More of a frenemy...the cat is skittish around people, but really wants to come in and eat any chance it gets.

George & TCB I just read a story about American sneaking in over the border to Canada on boats and yachts.  Seems they are boating in from Washington  :-[

A speeding boat flipped over and ejected two people.  One person swam to shore.

Wilford Brimley passed away.  He was 85 years old.

I read that earlier. :(

I don't know about the test results, though.  Hopefully, at least, she got the results from her doctor(s).

I woke up a couple of hours later and took a shower, then went back to my parents' house.  My sister and niece had just gotten there, so we decided to play (what else) some Phase 10.

After a few hands, my mom insisted on feeding us, but she didn't really have anything, so she asked if I'd go to WinCo (it's literally up the street, less than half a mile from their house) and get some lasagna, garlic bread and a bag o' salad.  I said sure.

It wasn't until I got back that we saw that the frozen lasagna would take two hours to bake, so we all said that we didn't need to have the lasagna then.  Mom will save it for another time.

Also by the time I got back from the store, my dad was asleep in his library, so we also decided to bag the game.  My mom was ahead, so she essentially won the game by default. ;)

I then came home and got a little something to eat, texted with a friend who lives out of state, and now I'm ketchuping on all of today's posts. :)

The grounds were largely waterlogged, and the stream was high. But the paths were dry, and the walk was pleasant and largely shaded.

Lovely.  Your mother is doing well?  She must be happy to have you home for a nice long visit.  Do you have a quit space to work and have conference calls?

Yes. I have a separate work room.

Great.

I didn’t know he was a singer. Will have to investigate.

I also hadn't known that.
