I will be video chatting with a friend today who hugged her granddaughter yesterday for the first time since quarantine.  She has seen her while social distancing but this was a goodbye hug.  The granddaughter is leaving for college and will be living in a dorm.   There are restrictions in place and learning will be online, still....

How about a little piece?  Here's a test pie I made last night.  I used puff pastry instead of a pie crust, but it still tasted pretty good!  I was able to get a non-lard pie shell at Trader Joe's, but it's frozen and I didn't want to wait a whole day for it to defrost.

Am in in a meeting that opened with a coworker talking about her family’s journey through covid, the effects on her young children and the company was there for her the whole time. Powerful.

Yes, it would...the original video where I got the idea actually had five different flavors!  They used cherry, apple, blueberry, pumpkin, and strawberry.

Since I used puff pastry for this, I didn't have the room for all those so I used only two, but for the final version that I'll make for my dad, I'll use actual pie pastry and have four flavors:  apple, cherry, blueberry, and peach (family favorites)...at least, that's the plan.
