The negativity was one reason why I got off social media long before the pandemic.

T.O.D.

People are posting negative things because they are stuck in the house, and have nothing better to do.

Most of us have never experienced anything like this.

Even after this is over, our world will never be the same.

Very true though I think there is more to it with those that only post negative things, as well as a variety of reasons.

TOD:

I get tired of reading negative posts.  Of course things are bad, but hopefully they will get better.

One friend in my area writes endless posts about local businesses and who is wearing a mask and who isn't and spends much of his time confronting folks who are not wearing masks.

I have begun to skip his Facebook posts....on that subject....

I don't know if case numbers are going up or down....it depends on what and where you read - and who knows who is accurate?  I do know that folks are still being infected and folks are dying.  That is reason enough to be cautious, but not contentious.

I don't blame him for getting upset about the maskless people though I have not personally confronted anyone,  I just move away from them.

I read an article today that the numbers are going down, even in the worst states, in areas where people are wearing masks and avoiding high risk locations such as bars.

George, I had the pie crusts out of the refrigerator for at least 90 minutes before I got around to using them. The flavor is OK. I think I like Pillsbury a little better.

Good to know if I decide I need a pie crust.

I still find enough positive, hopeful, or just posts intended to give joy.

I am still taking virtual trips, on private jets, with a friend.  The number of people joining us on his trips has grown.  He finds the best hotels, restaurants, and activities for us :)

We went out to the cemetery today to place some flowers on Dad's grave. It was a bit of an ordeal. The marker hasn't been placed yet, the ground hasn't settled yet. The clues we had as to where to find the grave were misleading. Mom was in the heat too long.

My sister, who had originally texted the location, finally sent an image Dad had made back in the 1980s. It had much better and more information than Linda thought was necessary. So, with the help of an attendant, I finally found the grave. mom was not happy because it hadn't been mowed, so it was rather unkempt. But it was better to find it than not. I took a series of pictures to help us find it again, if need be.

What an ordeal for your mother.  We often get lost at cemeteries trying to find people.  I suppose these days finding staff to help you is more difficult.  Did you find out if they are mowing less due to the virus?

Ahh...I've used the Pillsbury before, but that was years ago before my sister and her daughter became vegans.  Now, they're lacto-ovo-pescatarian (plants, fish, eggs, dairy only), but the Pillsbury pie crusts use lard and they will NEVER (knowingly) eat anything with that in it.

That rules out Pillsbury for me, if I ever want to use it.

No. They don't mow unsettled graves.

Ha. So, what do you like better? I don't like how thick it is. And that thickness conveys a dough-ier flavor. I would rather have the dough support the filling, not dominate it, which I feel this one does.

Now I understand.  I didn't realize it took so long for them to settle.  Is that why the marker has not been placed?

Monday afternoon greetings!  Richard and I had a nice outing today.  We had a several errands to run and one of them put us in proximity to Freddie's, one of our favorite burger places.  We went to the drive-thru, got our lunch, ate in the car, then went through again for dessert (frozen custard).  We were also near Rob and Mary Linda's former house, so we drove by and reported to them that there's now a nice patch of weeds where the in-ground pool used to be.  Filling it in was a condition of the sale, but it could not be completed before closing because of the wet weather.  They came to a financial agreement that allowed the closing to proceed as scheduled.

I totally get it and personally don't have a problem with it.  I remember when Hostess (the ORIGINAL Hostess) made their Suzy Q's and Ding Dongs with lard in their cream filling.  It's that I make desserts for my whole family and it needs to be something that everyone will eat, and with one half of the family no longer partaking of the lard or any products made with it, it just isn't an option, anymore. :-\
