I had a couple of shirts like that DR GEORGE and I always just figured it was somebody's first day at the fabric loading machine.

Like DR JANE I have a some prescriptions to pick up.

I shall do that tomorrow, and stop by Pet Supplies Plus to buy some food for Birdy Barnum.

I am also looking for something to help his beak.  He has lost interest in his cuttlebone, and it has overgrown a bit.

I hope you find something he likes.

Well, this is really cool!  I don't know how long it'll last, or if it'll be archived once the live feed is over, but here's a LIVE Astronaut Spacewalk from the International Space Station! :D

Thanks for the live link.

I know what you mean DR ELMORE.

I just said, cut it as short as possible.  It will grow back.  I sort of look like a Yul Brynner with a four-day growth.....I can live with that.

I told him to cut it short, and I think he could have done so.  I'm not complaining; it looks good.

Honestly, this day feels like the proverbial new lease on life, what with the good sleep and the drying up. I just enjoyed a celebratory late breakfast of four (4) slices of toast, using up three kinds of bread and three kinds of preserves and marmalade.

DR Elmore, thank you for the Peter Grimes link yesterday. I've bookmarked it to be watched when the time is right.

Tonight is Nixon in China. I should give this one a chance. I've seen bits and pieces, and while they didn't thrill me (because the music isn't in a language that I'm attuned to), I think I could probably enjoy a straight through viewing. But if not this time, then some other time.

Bear Manor Media has just published my book, "MERV: The Final Chapter," the 3rd edition and last update of my Merv Griffin biography, originally published in 1976.

Working on this book with Merv Griffin was a pleasure.  He was so pleased with the final result that he had me as a guest on his talk show.

Very entertaining and interesting!

You're welcome, Jrand!  And I agree!

I have THIS CD of the opera.  I don't think I've listened to it since I got it, though. ::)

I know not everyone does, but I really like the Broadway cast recording.  I saw it in Seattle during the pre-Broadway run. :)

Someone posted the complete video broadcast of Nixon in China.  It's conducted by John Adams, himself.

It's good to hear he's still active in all of that.

My question for ASK BK DAY:

Do you think She of the Evil Eye has a nickname for you?  What do you think it is?

I'm sure she does - perhaps, He of the Leaving House.
