Leo loves to get fired up about love! This fire sign’s energy is outgoing and expressive, and you won’t feel like hiding any of your emotions during this exciting transit! This is a day to let your feelings be known, because with big risks come big rewards.

Put yourself out there and see what you get in return.  Love is dramatic and full of life when Venus is in Leo, and although your ego can get bruised easily during this romantic transit, you bounce back relatively easily from rejection. So, say what’s in your heart, cross your fingers, and hope for the best!

Leo? Aren't we in Virgo now?

Well, I wasn't sure I would survive the Small Ladder, but I successfully changed the light bulb, only to drop and break it while I hobbling with it to the trash.  I had to deal with that cleanup while I tried semi-successfully to keep Stella out of the mess.

Such weird sports things.....yesterday at the Derby a horse named Thousand Words just reared up in the paddock and fell on his back....he was scratched from the race but seems to be okay.

Today at the U.S. Open Tennis tournament, Novak Djokovic got upset and hit a ball behind him that hit a lines person.....he was defaulted and left the tournament....and he was seeded as Number One.....

I wonder what will happen in the hockey game between the Golden Knights and the Dallas Stars later tonight?

It is unbearable out there and naturally the car air conditioner isn't working properly, only blowing warm air no matter how low I set it for.

I'm cooling off the house now, which was up to 83.  Even though it's less degrees today it actually feels worse outside.

I think I didn't answer the TOD on hamburgers. When was it? Yesterday? Earlier in the week?

For me, there are "bests of their kind" for many different types of hamburgers, but I will pay tribute to one of my favorites for life:  the No. 11 (32) at Hamburger Hamlet. I think the 11 was the quarter-pound version and the 32 was the half-pound which I nearly always had. It not only was one of the best burgers ever, I discovered both it and the Hamburger Hamlet itself on my very first day of my first visit to L.A. in July 1971.

The extraordinary quality of their beef and the perfect proportion of the ingredients were genius. This was a cheeseburger with bacon and chopped onions and Russian dressing, and I always ordered mine medium rare for maximum flavor and juiciness.

EDIT:  The menu I’m looking at doesn’t include onions in its description. Did I add those myself from the relish tray?

Back then I didn't really know from Russian dressing, and I thought it was Thousand, misnamed. Well, Thousand would be just as good, and it just happens that I bought both kinds in the Ken's Steak House brand last week. So I'm ready, baby. Bring it on. BK said his chopped onions were less than satisfying, and I do generally use slices for my burgers and put the chopped on hot dogs. There's supposed to be a way to chop them for burgers that's more satisfying texture-wise than simply laying a slice on it, but I need to work on that.

So, getting back to my No. 11 being the best of its kind, what "kind" exactly is that? Back then I thought of it as my first "gourmet" burger. That's probably a meaningless descriptor now, so, maybe something like "Best in a Very Nice Sit-Down but Informal Jernt Specializing in Quality Hamburgers"? Ah yes, that rolls right off the tongue.

I learned early in life that I loved Thousand Island dressing and very much disliked Russian Dressing.   I would get very annoyed when people would try to tell me it was the same thing.

I said no.  Then said PERSON messaged me, and I suggested that they talk to the person I had been talking to.   Person also mentioned the OTHER wedding.

In my answer, I did NOT mention the other wedding.  Had I done so, I might have mentioned that the other bride's father had been doing shows with us since 1967, his family including his parents were regular contributors to our fund raiser.  The groom's father had been appearing in shows since 1983, and he himself had been appearing in shows since 1998 when he was one of the children in PETER PAN.

The Bride herself had been in shows regularly since 2001.

And the bride's father had been a member of the board of directors since 1999.

But of course - I'm sure they feel that their accomplishments are just as worthy.

It never ends.....

I would say they earned the right to have a wedding there.

Oh and their wedding date is two weeks AFTER the property will have been closed for the season.

What amount of money would make it worth the theater to reopen and permit the wedding?  I suspect more than they would be willing to pay.

When I used to fry my hamburgers, I put the chopped onions in the skillet instead of on the finished product.

That's a good variation. Did you put the patties on the onions or just next to them?

Many years ago when I fried or broiled hamburgers I put the onions inside the burgers when mixing them.

Oh I have decided that I will make my YouTube singing debut on Sunday, September 13, at 6 p.m. Eastern Time.

It seems to be a popular time and I am sure everyone here at HHW will tune in.

I will be singing mostly songs by Bruce Kimmel with a few by other composers......it's going to be a trip around the world with guest stars and exotic locations.

See you there!  It's called Jack Sings and Swings the Kimmel Hits!

I hate when that happens.  Vibes you can easily get it fixed.

I don't think this is how it's supposed to work:  At two-thirty it's 111 degrees.  At five o'clock?  It's 115 degrees.  This is NOT normal, in fact, it's ABnormal in the extreme.  Apparently in Woodland Hills, just about ten miles from here, it's 120.  No, this is not normal and it needs  to be done.  Cooling down the house isn't really working well - from eighty-three to eighty-one in two hours.

Almost finished with the Leinsdorf performance, then it's on to the Reiner.
