Two men were in the chapel with the flag that my mom got from the funeral home, and a third person (a woman) was outside playing Taps on the bugle.

The flag came from the funeral home?  I always understood that the VA provided the flag.

I don't know.  Maybe I just thought that the funeral home provided the flag because my mom said that they were going to contact the military about his death (and the stopping of his benefits). :-\

Here's the flag in front of his urn after the whole ceremony:

And here's a wide-angle view of the whole church:

Yes, I checked, the flag is provided by the Veteran’s Department.

After the service, we all went to the hall next door and turkey or egg salad sandwiches (homemade) and chips and peanut butter cookies (not homemade) and coffee and water were provided.  The memory board that my sister made was in that room and other people came to look at it and really enjoyed it, too. :)

I stand corrected...while sitting on my bed! ;)

I took a picture of the memory board in the church's hall, but there was too much glare to get a good picture.  We brought it to my mom's house and I was going to take a picture there, but I forgot.  I'll get one tomorrow because tomorrow is my sister's birthday and everyone's coming over to my mom's for that.

After we got to my mom's house (only the family came today), I went and got some pizza (Costco was a madhouse! :P ) and we play...guess what??  Phase 10!  And guess what again...I lost. ::)

Thanks but I won't...not really.  It's my sister's birthday tomorrow.

After we all left my mom's house, I went shopping for gift for my sister and ended up getting a gift card to Vic's Pizzaria.  My sister and her daughter really like their vegan pizzas.  I don't love their crusts, but since it's for my sister, it doesn't matter.

I then came home and relaxed a bit in my recliner and promptly fell asleep for a couple of hours.  I got up and had dinner and now I need to ketchup on all of today's posts!

We all felt bad for Brian Forster who never got three words out and was absent for most of it.  It's on Facebook, I think, and some YouTube channel.  I'll try to find a link.

That's too bad. :-\

Apologies in advance for the ads you'll have to click past.
It's my free Flickr account, and I'm cheap enough to keep it that way.

That's really cool, ChasSmith!
