I slammed (No, I mean slammed) the trunk lid on my ring finger today.  I finally went to an urgent care center.  I almost chopped off the end of the finger, and I broke the finger, as well.

Oh, no!!  That's terrible!!

The staff was very nice and the doctor who treated me was a real hottie.  I survived the slamming without screaming, but the suturing just about made me pass out.  Mike (the hottie) apologized in advance for the pain I would feel from the shot to numb the finger.  He said the end of the finger and bottom of the foot both contain the most nerve endings.  He was not lying.

Mike said he gave me a large dose of numbing stuff, but he said it doesn’t seem to work on me.  I felt every inch of the suturing needle.  I voted for a general anesthetic, but I was apparently voted down. The whole staff thought I was a riot.  I use humor to combat pain.
