I wonder how freeze-dried strawberries might be. Would they reconstitute in the hot cereal?

Possibly, but then I don't care for fresh fruit in my oatmeal so I wouldn't try it.

DR Jane - love the idea of dried cherries. I'll have to try that. Dried blueberries would be good, too, I would think.

Costco used to have both. Now I can only find the cherries there.

I am kind of fussy about my brands of food.  I started eating these when we lived in Michigan and order them my mail.  I used to put these in my fudge with toasted almonds.  Now I can't eat the fudge and it hurts my shoulder to make it ;D

I set another performer for the November show - new to Kritzerland.  She's kind of an Internet personality - very popular on Tik-Tok and she's very funny and sings very well.  I found her on Facebook and asked her to do the show.

Interesting.

DR Singdaw dried cranberries are also good.

And you can get them flavored to taste like cherries or blueberries.

Great act, keeping track of all of those parts.
She just needs a better accompaniment track!

Someone commented that she should do "Rock Island" from The Music Man.
Yes, please.

That would be cool!  She was good. :)

Well, I'm off to my mom's.  I'm bringing a couple of things that she had me order on Amazon for her and she's going to make me dinner, so that'll be good. :)

Be back later.

Got a new two-disc set from the library called Ella Fitzgerald: The Complete Piano Duets. I think Verve has repackaged her output in most every way imaginable. And I don't really care. It's Ella. There can never be too much Ella in the world.

Last night I watched a film called The Double Life of Veronique about two identical women from different countries who never know each other but somehow feel connected. Today, I started the novel The Vanishing Half about identical twins who become separated and somehow feel connected.

Did a quick Gelson's run - got food for tomorrow - tuna and some buns and I thought I was down to one slice of cheese so I got cheese - but I actually had six slices left so that was a waste.

I began a new book.  I love the dedication to the author's mother and father.  Then she added " Dad doesn't read fiction, so Mom, if you could let him know".

I slammed (No, I mean slammed) the trunk lid on my ring finger today.  I finally went to an urgent care center.  I almost chopped off the end of the finger, and I broke the finger, as well.
