Well, you've read the notes, the notes were a badge of honor, and now it is time for you to post until the honored cows come home.

I wrote the notes quickly so let me know of any terrible typos or if something isn't clear.

Thanks, Jane.  My mom used to be a nurse, so she knows what she's doing.

Topic of the Day:  on my DVD burner that I just recorded last night from laserdiscs:  the live concert, Diane Schuur & The Count Basie Orchestra; and the live cabaret show, Bobbie Short And Friends [Live at The Carlyle).  Both were great concerts!

When I was a kid, Diane used to perform all the time in Tacoma at this great place called Steve’s Gay 90’s.

Yes, he was out of control and I hope I handled him well - one occasionally had to give as one got, but the did the victim thing every time - pathetic, really. I was calm most of the time, which I'm sure irritated him no end.  The only time I really got nasty and told him to eff off was when he said our show was technically terrible, a show he's never seen. And yes, I told him he was behaving like a nasty old queen.

When I was going Western Washington University, I got to meet her.  The director of the jazz band and choir (I was in the jazz choir) invited Diane Schuur, who was living in Renton at the time, to come up to Bellingham and sing with the jazz band.  Another jazz choir member Tod and I got to drive down to Renton, pick up Diane and her boyfriend Paul, and drive them up to Bellingham, and then back again the next day.  Diane was a bit temperamental but she put on a great show.

(I posted this back in July, but edited it a bit for this conversation. :) )

I did not watch either of the town halls last evening. I am angry with NBC for rewarding petulant behavior.

Well, I guess the musical directing partner of BK's new close personal friend will no longer be asked to do a Kritzerland show! I did unsuccessfully Google the March 2020 Kritzerland show out of curiosity to learn the MD's name.

Last night I watched Joe Biden's Town Hall.  I thought he too often quoted money and plans when a simpler answer might have sufficed.  A young lady asked about pollution in SE Pennsylvania, and Joe rambled on and on, when I thought he could have said, "I will seek to repeal all the agencies covering pollution and environmental and wildlife protections that Trump has destroyed to begin with and that needs to be done ASAP."

Still, he's heads above the lying piece of shit squatting in the White House, and I'm hoping for a huge win.

DR Jeanne, I have canceled sessions with several AppleCare personnel once I realized they knew less than I did about the workings of a Mac.  On the other hand, I have met several computer geniuses who knew exactly what needed to be done.
