Abe Vigoda seemed like a neat person to know.  Druxy, congrats on your play.

He was a lot of fun.  Also, at times, a challenge.

Woke up from my nap to texts that Mom is in the hospital. They don't know yet what happened, but she may have had a mini-stroke, which they're looking into and which may have caused her to fall. She complained of rib pain, so they're checking that out as well.

So sorry, DR JohnG.

I'm up, I'm up - maybe five and a half hours of sleep - was restless and couldn't fall asleep.

In Topaz there's an entire party scene with the Devereaux that's gone, many scenes that just go on and on that were trimmed - one where the defector knocks over likenesses of his family - the only scenes that are completely unaffected are Harlem and Cuba.

I hope it will go smoother than I thin it will.

Good afternoon - I've been to work, I've dropped the boys off at the groomers, and I've gone to the shops.  Now I'm home preparing for the week.   That's all today.

I talked with Mom earlier. She's very weak. They're going to keep her for 2 to 3 days. The first day is to watch her reaction to the medicine they gave her, so she'll be in ICU for that stretch.

I read her a couple of her favorite psalms, which she appreciated.

My sister Annaliese is there for a short while. She was debating whether to stay, but this hospital's covid hours are strict. She has to leave at 7:30 p.m. and wait until after 10 a.m. before she's allowed back in. So, she's going back home. She'll try to drive back to Louisville when they release Mom.

It never does that to me, either. I wonder what we're doing wrong?

I have a pot of butternut squash soup on the stove that's just about ready. Not everything cooked at the same time, which is actually OK. Interesting soup in that it includes an apple in there and you finish it off with coconut milk. Kinda Thai and vegan.

It is extra hard with covid.  It is good your mother is able to use her phone.  I hope she has her charger with her.

Continued vibes.

It's not her phone. Mom really doesn't do anything digital.

That makes it more difficult to talk to her.
