I like all of the composers en France mentioned already....especially Saint-Saens and Debussy and Ravel.

My favorite French movies from France include:

Umbellas of Cherbourg
Les uns at les autres
Les Enfants Terribles
Mon Oncle

and a few more that will no doubt be mentioned as the day goes along.

French film composers - George Delerue is at the top of my list, although there are some others.....

Rehearsal was fine last night.  We did the whole show.  It is those with the smallest roles who ask the MOST questions and have the most difficulty with props and costumes.....

Notes will be in later today.

If anyone is familiar with how ZOOM works technically.  I cannot get the green screen slide to work.  When I use it, anything black I wear becomes green....  I have a feeling it might be because I am further away from the wall behind me - which includes a book case....   I hung a solid gray cloth behind me with the same result.  I bought some dark green material and hung that up....same result.....

It is most frustrating.  If I don't use the green screen slide and only use the dark green material, it works.....but I don't know if that will enable the technician to add the background.

We shall see.  He didn't have anything to say last night, but they recorded to show....so we shall see.

Tonight we are recording scenes 1-3.  Although Mr Bob Cwatchit doesn't have his costumes.....so I doubt that Scene Two - my scene - will be recorded.

Finis.

My goodness, DR Jrand70.  The logistics seem very complicated.  I have to give the company a lot of credit for trying this.

Just got done scheduling a medical appointment. I got off easy, this time: only a half-hour wait. Usually, it takes more than an hour to get through. And their hold music is the most annoying EVER.        :)

On Dec. 21, 2018, I was in great turmoil over Thatch.  Every time I tried to take him to the vet, it was a chase to find him or catch him to put him into his carrier.  I had two cancel two appointments on Dec. 20 because of this, and I needed Val - come back to us, Val! we miss you - to help[ me catch him.

I got to the bus stop, where I sat with his carrier on my lap and wept.  I was so angry, so frustrated over his health and difficulty that I didn't know what to do.  My attitude was, I'm sick of this, I don't want him any more and I'm taking him to the animal shelter.  Then I thought, I love him, the shelter will euthanize him because he's semi-feral; what do I do?  I decided to see which bus came along first: downtown and we'll go to the vet' uptown and we'll go to the shelter.  And I wept madly because I loved this baby and I wasn't coping at all.

The first bus that came along was an uptown one, and I couldn't do it. Nearly three years later, I am so happy I made the right decision to let that bus go by.

I bring this up because today, after eighteen months, I am ready to to return Stella.  I've spent the last hour cleaning up and vacuuming the remains of a telephone book and a roll of paper towels she's shredded.  I am so tired of this and it's either return her or beast her to a pulp.  Perhaps I will change mind on both once I've had some breakfast and calmed down.

According to the doctor, I did not pass a kidney stone. I passed a bladder stone. I was not aware of such blessings. I had to Google them.

My sister Linda talked on the phone with Mom. Said she sounded better. They’re still monitoring her.

John Yap posted on FB that his forever-in-the-making recording of Anyone Can Whistle had 42 musicians. I questioned it, since the orchestra had no violins, and those are usually what augments a recording session, but I cannot imagine he's got 10 violas and 10 celli or whatever it would take to turn a band of 26-28 players to 42!  So in his reply he accused me of trying to kill sales of the recording!  He is such a mess.

Don't give up on Stella!!   If you need to, put her in her carrier at night.  And most importantly, if you catch her in the act, put her in a time out - probably in the carrier!

Hang in there!

Sorry to hear about your problems with Stella, DR elmore3003. All good ~~~VIBES~~~ for the right resolution.

Perhaps DR Matthew is right; that she needs to be in her cage at night and when you are not there to keep an eye on her activities.

I am very glad you passed the bladder stone, DR John G.  My surgery to break up and remove 2 large such was in September, and it was a very unpleasant experience and aftermath.
