Thatch.Stella, and I had a nap, and then I worked a bit on my A&T book.  I need to think about dinner for the babies  It's that time.

My whole dream just came back to me, and I hadn't even thought of it since getting up this morning.

It was the typical performance dream in which you're either unprepared or you don't know what the hell you're even doing there. In this one, I'm playing in the orchestra for a show, on what seems to be a baby grand piano. We were already midway through the show, and following a pause for dialogue in the middle of this number, I resume playing on cue and we finish the number, then there's a dialogue scene. However, as I'd turned the last page in that song, I found that the rest of the book was missing.

I immediately tried to take stock of my situation. Did I remember enough of the score (in the dream, it now seems to be Shrek) to be able to cover enough of my part? Should I ask the conductor during this pause if there's another copy of the book I can grab? Will the audience see that the piano player now has nothing on his stand, and start noticing things? Are there any important cues in the second half that depend on my playing something precisely and not just faking it? As the situation became more and more dire, I finally began to wake up. But while still under the influence of the dream, I was grateful that it couldn't have been Shrek which would be impossible in this situation, in so many ways.

DR ChasSmith, I find dreams like that so unsettling.

Bk, they're talking about Joe Brooks on the Forgotten Musicals site.  Do you know why he never tried to put "You Light Up My Life" onstage?  (Or maybe he did)

I watch that movie at LEAST twice a year.  I love the style (70's) and I do like most of the music, as bad as it may seem.

No, alas.  The building management treated him very poorly and he left in mid-2018. Everyone misses him and we have a good super in Jeff.  Val and I keep in touch, and he will always be the super in the A&T stories.

Been working on project one - ate California Chicken Cafe - one breast and wing and chicken pasta salad - pretty light in calories - and about to start the first of the two Zoom rehearsals.

Sing, what a lot you've been going through! But your sinus biopsy sounds like it went extremely well! No surgery and no pain even. Vibes the rest is good news, too, and this incident will soon be history.

Thank you. I think the stone has passed, but my lower back feels as if Mike Tyson's been using it for a punching bag.

Sorry to hear about the freezer, Larry. We've probably all been there at some point. Like Jane said, it's easier for vegetarians.

The Met is showing The Merry Widow tonight with Renee Fleming and, I think, Kelli O'Hara.

Val is much younger than I imagined him. Isn't he the son of another previous super?
