Yesterday my niece and I had our first book club meeting on her front lawn. We made a book club (for just the two of us). And luckily the weather was high 60s. So it was beautiful outside. We are doing a buddy read/book club. We met to discuss the first 50 pages of our book. And talked for an hour.

Not in the same league, but a friend of my DH's also died - a glorious soprano, who lost mobility due to a carnival accident at 15, but nevertheless went on to have something of a career in classical music and teaching. Irene Gubrud was her name.

I’ve been watching From Here to Eternity. It’s not as bad the second time around. A few of the characters make more sense. But there are too many problems that a few decent songs can’t save. I think knowing the story beforehand would help.

Good Afternoon - Home early from church to get a jump on the packing. I arranged to miss the last Mass on Sunday morning for the duration of November so I can get more packing time in. Today, I will pack until it's time for the Kritzerland show, then I will stop and watch and hopefully eat dinner while I do so. Then I have work for school to do for tomorrow. Let's see if it gets all accomplished.
