DR TCB I had the same experience regarding age and bikes.  My older siblings had nice new 3 speed bikes they rarely used.  When I outgrew my bike my parents refused to waste money on a new one for me even though I rode mine all the time.  Fortunately my neighbor was able to raise the seat and handlebars, and fortunately he had the tool to do so as, to my shock, it was a German bike.

Throughout my childhood my mother refused to by anything from Germany as our families lost so much during the war.

DR Vixmom I am impressed your father built your first stereo.  These days, like Bryan, he would probably build his own computer.

Happy Friday the 13th to everybody

We are going to Costco.  Last trip I couldn't get paper towels.  I hope to have better luck today.

Here's hoping that this 2020 Friday the 13th does not bode ill for anyone here.

Yes, our last one was in March just before lock down.

Changed the order of things:

I wanted to know I had that recording IN THE CAN, so I got things set up and it is now IN THE CAN, both in the recorder and on the computer. Now I must run out for a bit, go to the store and get shot -- hopefully not literally, and not necessarily in that order. When I return I'll clean it up, upload it, and then tend to these other things.

PS -- What great music this is -- and it's IN THE CAN.

We were watching for the news last night and I told Keith I would see it first on FB from one of our Arizona friends.  Sure enough, he put it up way before the news :)

Friday morning greetings!

A very happy HHW birthday greeting today to Richard, the DH of DR Ginny!

Thank you, DR Singdaw, for this lovely wish for Richard.  His birthday apple pie just came out of the oven and we'll have it for dessert after our steak dinner this evening.  Then we're "attending" a Miami University Men's Glee Club Concert on Zoom.  It was nice of them to schedule it on an alum's birthday.

The crane took 2 minutes to lift the unit onto the roof. Of course I videoed it for my grandson.

Don't be too impressed, DR Singdaw.  It's a Marie Callender's frozen pie - all I had to do was put it in the oven.

Although for some of us, it's pretty much always a quiet celebration.

But still...you had to turn on the oven and set the correct temperature and amount of time to cook it, AND make sure you take it out of the oven before it burns!!

;)

Once again Costco was out of paper towels.  Thing is, we prefer the Kirkland towels to Bounty which I believe we can buy at the market.  We will find out this afternoon.
