Yes, I was. But before that I saw Richard off for his routine appointment with our primary care physician. Because he’d had fasting blood work he picked us breakfast for us both at Wendy’s. After we ate I got myself ready for my own appointment with the same doctor, where I had a pneumonia vaccine.

Then I came home to my craft corner where I completed birthday cards for our niece’s 3 kids who all have December birthdays.

This was your second pneumonia vaccine, right?

DR elmore3003, we were just watching a virtual holiday party/concert from the private school Shattuck-St Mary's here in MN (where my DH went), and one of the participants was Heidi Urquhart, and wondered if she might be related to Craig.

My DH was also a friend of Jack Gottlieb - another Bernstein connection!

Sad to hear that Warren Berlinger has died.

Nice guy. Good actor.

In fact, the first play I ever directed was BLUE DENIM, which Warren had done on Broadway and also in the movie version. In fact, my friend, Carol Lynley, who passed away last year, was also in both the film and the Broadway play

They will both be missed.

Two audiobooks I've been waiting for both came in today. I started listening to Obama read A Promised Land and the first three chapters are really good. But Jane Smiley's Perestroika in Paris also came in -- and it's only 8 hours long vs. the 33+ hours for the president. Choices. I will probably listen to as much of Obama's book as I can take on the 18-hour trip to Louisville.

Jane, I met my friend at la Fonda on Main tonight. The food was excellent as usual and there were heaters on the patio to keep the place warm. The trees were loaded in colorful lights. The margarita hit the spot.
