Good Morning!  More bread in the oven.  DD's waiting patiently to get picked up for camp.  After they are picked up, I'll head to the Joes of Trader and pick up the booze I need for gifts as well as more beer bread supplies.  Since I'm done with church by 7:00pm on Christmas Eve and there are no family things to be present for, I've decided to make my own Prime Rib dinner, so I need to pick up those supplies today as well. Then there is a rehearsal this evening for the 3 of us doing music at church for Christmas Eve/Day.  Should be a lovely day.

I thought the idea for these calico cat cookies was pretty cool.

If I was still baking cookies I would do this.

Frank Lloyd Wright's "Fallingwater" made out of gingerbread, etc.

I am not nearly that ambitious.

Yes DR TCB is correct......since this is only the second time I had been to this dentist he didn't know to ask me:  "Could you sing before?"

I liked his answer so I think when I go in to get my partial I will ask him if I will able to play the saxophone......

I am feeling okay today.  Yes, DR JANE, no ill effects so far.  I haven't had to take another of the pain pills, so I am very lucky OR the pill lasts 15 hours which I doubt.

You are lucky and I am pleased about it.

Tuesday morning greetings!  Well, it’s all in the wrists, I guess.  My hand-kneaded shortbread dough behaved much better and we’ll have cut-out cookies for Christmas after all.  But I didn’t use the full amount of flour called for in Patty’s recipe.

It is easier to only add the amount needed when you do it by hand.

The person, or his designs...or both? ::)

Such a day.  I just had to deal with a clogged toilet and overflow. Not pretty, let me tell you.  Luckily, Jeff answered his phone, came up with a plumbers friend and unclogged it.  I hjave a real mess to clean up.

Those are really pretty! I wonder if the two colors of brown are milk and dark chocolate?

Ladies and Gents,

Partly as a result of this week's email forwarding mess, and because I've intended to consolidate my addresses anyway, I have just changed my email on this site to the one I give everyone now, which is:

chasmith at g mail dot com

Any of you who use email to reach me for anything, if you have the Comcast one, please change it to this one.

Note there's only one 's' in the name, unlike my user name here. Sorry for that confusion. I wish I'd chosen that for the gmail address lo those many years ago.

I had to clean up a driveway mess this afternoon. Both the USPS driver and Nathan were burning rubber getting up the long slope because of packed down icy sh stuff, so I've cleaned up the mess they made and treated the whole stretch with a sand and salt mixture. Should be good now.

I know this in no way competes with the cleanup DR Elmore is doing.        :)

One drop-off has happened on time - the helper, however, is an hour and a half late.

Once she's here (in about twenty minutes) I'll eat something and by then some packages should be ready for pick-up.

I really know little about him as a person.  I find his designs claustrophobic.  Touring one of his homes with a group all I wanted was to get out of there.  Since it was Christmas the tour included entertainment adding to my length of time inside.
