I'd like their Peeping Tom, too. Creepy little film.

Peeping Tom is a great movie, but it's all Michael Powell - Pressberger had nothing to do with it.

For some reason for the last round, I was sent a paper check....so I'm guessing it will be the same for this one.

At least one survivor reported that some of the music played by the orchestra after dinner on the Titanic on that Sunday evening was selections from "Tales of Hoffman."

Still having tummy issues.  I fear I've slept as much as I'm gonna sleep unless this calms down. It just feels like everything's on the verge of coming up - it doesn't, but it hurts my throat and I'm bored of it.  It's like having to burp but you can't.  I keep popping Pepcids and hoping for the best.  I'm listening to the last act of Konigskinder by Humperdinck, a wonderful recording with Helen Donath - just a great-sounding CD.  The opera has gorgeous things in it but goes on and on for two hours and forty-five minutes, as opposed to the ninety minutes of Hansel Und Gretel.  You could cut forty-five minutes out of it and it would be better in every way.  But boy is there some beautiful music along the way.

DR Jeanne I did try a heating pad yesterday. And it felt good while I was doing it. Also hot showers feel good. And I found some pills that I have used that don't make me super drowsy.

I woke up and it felt good so I thought that it was better. But now it is aching a bit. Hopefully another day or two and it will be back to normal.

DR Jane yes I was able to get the trunk open. The only reason I kept trying was because the trunk light showed as being open on the dash. And I didn't want to take a chance that it would open while I was driving.

Thank you. I can't believe that I could pull a muscle from simply trying to open my trunk. It's sort of ridiculous.

That's right. It's been 20 or so years since I've seen it. Another one Criterion needs to reissue.

The DH is reading a book about Kay Thompson, and due to a mention there, requested that we view Vincente Minnelli's last film, A Matter of Time from 1975. It stars Liza Minnelli and Ingrid Bergman. There is some dizzying Rome sightseeing and a bit of Liza singing. Otherwise, it is pretty awful.

I've read it.  It's by my friend Sam Irvin, who sorta dances around the question of her sexuality.  I was mostly interested in her interest in Eloise and Hillary Knight.

I own it. Haven't read it yet.

CNN is airing a new documentary tonight that has gotten some good reviews called Jimmy Carter Rock n Roll President. May have to check that one out.

Joan Micklin Silver has died. I loved her movies Hester Street and Crossing Delancey.

She was at a loss with Rags, but then so were a lot of people associated with the show.

Really enjoying Legacy. Stephen Flaherty's music is always worth a listen. I'm looking forward to a few more listens.

We didn't snow, which had been a possibility, but we got rain and temperatures in the upper 30s. Not going outside today.
