TOD

I think the most pizza I ever ate occurred at the two pizza parties I hosted. The first featured pizzas baked in the oven. The second, the pies were all done on the grill.

What little oinkers we were on both occasions.

I would not like to be in Japan buried under seven feet of ocean snow.

I just found that I'm inadvertently playing THE WAITING GAME with an Amazon shipment. I was checking on one shipment that's being delivered today, when I decided to check on a later order that wasn't yet due. I clicked on "track shipment", and found:

Unfortunately, a problem occurred during shipping and we had to cancel your delivery. We will issue a refund within 48 hours. We’re very sorry for the inconvenience.

Of course all that does is raise questions and tell me NOTHING, so I checked further tracking info which reveals that it shipped on Sunday (it doesn't say from where), it arrived at Amazon in Teterboro NJ yesterday, it left Teterboro for Danbury, it arrived at Danbury before dawn's crack this morning -- where, fifteen minutes later "a carrier delay" occurred and it's being returned to Amazon. No other explanation.

I also have to wonder why, instead of a refund, they aren't simply reshipping. It boggles the mind.

The only way I discovered this was going in and clicking on "track shipment". I've received no email or other notice about it.

EDIT:  Weirdly, it had been moved up from its original estimate of next week, to:  today. Meaning it would have been able to be delivered with the already scheduled item. But that item is on a Prime truck, and this one is coming through the postal service.

Did I say it boggles the mind?

Again?

What about Generalissimo Francisco Franco?

I like to stay up to date on these things.

The too-early obit I read said Roberts had quit That 70s Show when her husband fell ill. She stayed with him for several years until his death. That really impressed me.

(He said, after polishing off four Dunkin’s:  2 French crullers and 2 vanilla frosteds.)

I would be soooo sick if I ate that.  Fortunately I am not tempted by Dunkin's.

Tanya Roberts has died.

I saw that this morning.  After the mix-up I was hoping for a miracle, but of course that wasn't going to happen.  I hope her confused boyfriend was able to spend more time with her.

That is very touching.  They were married a long time.

Our bank branch here rarely has a line.  The longest I have ever had to wait there was about 15 minutes and that was an exception to the norm.

It has been too long since I have overindulged on pizza, even then I have never had an entire pizza to myself.  I usually eat two pieces.  I often take the topping off of a third slice and add it to the first pieces of pizza.

That's a hoot. I'd never seen it.

But that rendition of the song is a thing of beauty, both arrangement and performance.

Since my libraries don't have it, I finally opened a sample of Greenwillow and was enchanted.  I just purchased it.

I have to remember to STOP eating when I am no longer hungry.....when I was little, I thought the only reason to stop eating was when all the food was gone.
