My time keeps getting eaten up by all sorts of little things that shouldn't really take much time -- but DO -- and which often shouldn't have needed my attention in the first place. I'm sure you've all had many of these.

I drove to Culver City yesterday to get my car washed. The place I usually go went out of business during the early days of Covid, but is now under new management. New prices, too. It's now $24.95 for a full-service wash, instead of the $18 or so I used to pay. I hadn't realized what a bargain I was getting. They now have an Express Wash -- exterior only -- for $12.95. I tried it yesterday and was very happy with it. The interior of my car doesn't get very dirty (no kids, no pets), so exterior is all I usually need. And it was FAST. Partly because business hasn't picked up much since Covid.

During the last couple months the area on Venice Blvd under the 405 freeway overpass has become a major homeless camp. There were always a few, but it's now solid tents. It was neat and tidy, with no signs of any problems, but it was striking how quickly it had grown. I have no doubt it's worse in other areas of the city.

Jane, I'm glad you're feeling better now. This was all from your second vaccination?

I watched LAST STOP KEW GARDENS the other night about the Holocaust refugees who settled there. I found it quite interesting.

Thank you.  It was.  My arm was about the same as the first shot.  Really, it wasn't bad as certainly worth it to me.

I would expect a drive through wash to do a good business during covid.  I suppose cars don't get as dirty there as they do here.

Traffic is much lighter than usual, for which I'm thankful, so cars are probably staying in their garages or carports more. Plus, many people just don't want to go out to do anything.

So, I can't even find the CSUN location for vaccination. CVS's website says appointments are available in North Hollywood - I click on make an appointment (there's no way to click on North Hollywood, BTW, it's just a bunch of different locations in the state and who's available and not. I click on make an appointment and they say there aren't any even it says there are in North Hollywood. I give up. I will not have this vaccination until they get their stuff together and their sites work properly.

Made a cauliflower Cheddar soup tonight. It tasted good, but it tasted like a baked potato, not cauliflower. Oh well.

Another harried day at work today. Too many people want too many things done simultaneously.

Plus, there's a lot of catching up to do after last week's nonsense.

We've really been enjoying the installments of Stanley Tucci's Italian food documentary on CNN.

The DH returned from a provisioning trip to the liquor store and brought me a surprise - a bottle of limoncello.

Will the bottle burst if I store it in the freezer?

If I was familiar with your system I would find it for you.  I bet you have a friend who can help.  Next time you see a local friend on FB say they were vaccinated ask them how they got an appointment.
