Well, you've read the notes, you're up on all that's now and happening, and therefore it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently away getting wardrobed, so they, too, can be fashion plates.

I'm doing the Lambada right now - it's forbidden, you know, but I'm doing it anyway.  I look quite saucy doing it.

MR BK you will look suave at PRIVATE LIVES tonight, so be prepared to be asked to take over in case a cast member is struck down.  I hope it is better than that PL I saw last year - a sad enterprise.  The saddest of which was that the costume designer decided that although the play was still set in 1930's, he would use 1990's clothes.  YOU CAN PUT YOUR OWN SEAMS IN THE STOCKINGS, FOLKS!

Lovely MAISIE story, DRSWW.

What a great anniversary it was - and of course next year we can have the 30th Anniversary of the Release Party!!

Thanks for the PHANTOM information.  I look forward to the DVD & the extras.  I don't understand the bashing that ALW takes sometimes, but then I guess that's the way it is in the show business.

DVD - Beach Party with Bob Cummings thinking he has a chance at Annette!

CD:  Pippin the OBC

VCR:  The Edge of Night - the last 5 shows.

Good morning all!

I don't have to run for the bus this morning because I have to drive to work  :( (Well, it's Bonnie so it's ok).   I have to go pick up a test from the doctors office.  I have to drive into work on Monday because I have to drop the very same test off.  Ugh.

I had a dream about BK last night but hanged if I can remember what it was.  Not a bad dream, I know.

ICU DR's Elmore and JRand.  Hope you had a good nights sleep.

Gotta run, have GREAT day, everyone!

Thanks DR DANISE.  I did!

MADAME X for some reason is on TCM again this Sunday if you want to see the whole thing.  AND THE LAST VOYAGE is on TCM tomorrow night!

A high school production of TMM?  I didn't realize it had been released yet.  DRJASON really needs to come back and keep us up to date on these things!

Good morning, all!  Today's a banking day, tonight's a production of DON GIOVANNI, and tomorrow's Anthony Morelli's Music Hall Show.  This is also the B&N countdown tp surgery:  two more Saturdays and I'm off till the end of June.

Today, I've got a few more things to do for Anna Bergman's show, and a couple of numbers for Brent Barrett to work on over the weekend; the producer wants to get them to the copyist by Tuesday.

DRDanise, I was reading the end of last night's posts and the new notes when you signed off.  Sorry I missed you!

TOD:
DVD:  two Netflix pics, neither of which I can think of at the moment
CD:  HAZEL FLAGG, MAKE A WISH
VCR:  Yvonne Printemps in LA VALSE DE PARIS

I am not sure if I will get to watch anything this weekend. I have a viewing to go to tonight. (My first) he was a co-worker who I started with at Kinko's 5 1/2 years ago.

I also have a friend coming from Atlanta for the weekend. He is moving back here and I am helping him look for a apartment/house.

Damn I wrote a long article and I just lost it!!! I will have to do it later when I come home from work.

But it was about dead people being alive after they were dead and moving back to Fort Lauderdale. About a bad musical that closed in Chicago before Broadway in 1977 and that has been in the revisal mode since 1988. More later!!

NO NO NO - THE LAST VOYAGE is on TCM tonight!!!

I never saw that film and it sounds like it is up my alley. I love those all star disaster films. I never heard of it before either.

Can you tell a little bit more about it than the Ile de France was used and that the ship sinks?

This is the standard for chili competitions, dating back to when the whole competition stuff started in 1967.  There are two main organizations, the International Chili Society (ICS) based in California, and the Chili Appreciation Society International (CASI), each having their own set of rules.

Me, I don't cook competition chili, which tends to be too salty for enjoyable eatin'.  I like to have fresh chiles in my chili, in noticable chunks.

By the by, CP, good to know you're watching the Food Network on occasion!  Now, if we can just get you hooked on Good Eats...   ;)

Media check:

CD: Mario Frangoulis, Sometimes I Dream... Euroschmaltz!   ;D

DVD: Eightteen episodes of The French Chef with Julia Child, one of the best performers in live television at the time.  Watch her flip a potato pancake in the air...watch it disintegrate as she flips it...watch her pick up the pieces and put them back in the pan, with no embarrassment at all!  Fantastic!  And she's informative all through the show, as well!  No wonder she was a hit.

Oh, and speaking of potato, we've still got the Phantom Of The Awful, Turgid Opera to watch.  Der B got caught in some movie on cable yesterday, before our Maisie rescue, so ALW was put on hold.  I must say, BK, your review has really made me want to watch it all the more.   :-\

We have a professional golf tournament happening in Charlotte this week, and most of the top players are here (Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, etc.). The forecast had said rain for much of the weekend, but after some showers yesterday, looks like the forecast has been revised and we're in for some beautiful weather this weekend. I'm relieved for the golfers.

I love THE LAST VOYAGE.  I have a friend (obviously much older than I) who was on the literal last voyage of the Ile de France (renamed the Furansu Maru) as it sailed to Japan to be scrapped.  They were filming parts of the movie onboard at the time.  He still claims that the Ile de France was his favorite ocean liner of all time; although, by now, he seems to have forgotten his first voyage on the Mayflower.

Just caught up with yesteday's posts

My favorite quote from the russian review

"It described about this idea to some its friends, who immediately arrived into the ecstasy"

It reminded me of Rodzinkski's explantion for the trip to Montreal

I think this will be my new favorite all occassion quote

DR Danise re October the more the merrier as far a I am concerned.   I think I shall leave Mr. Vixmom & the Vixter at home that day..

Dang  I just realized.  The Vixter just brought her stained glass project to school today and I meant to take a picture of it before it went... darn darn darn

The recycling video is due Monday and she is no where near done due to other commitments and she has a show tonight,  NYSMMA  at 8: 45 tomorrow morning , a 12 call for a 2 oclock show and a 6 oclock call for a 8 oclock show.... I don't know HOW she is going to get this project done....
