Good morning - It's Wednesday, ketch-up day, which I shall be doing a lot of up until the late hours of the evening.

In vacation news - my travel buddies and I decoded to spend an extra day at Walt Disney World - because our plans kept getting shifted due to Alaska's Airlines changing the schedule. So, I was able to change my return flight to the next day (no charge) and was able to get another night at the resort I'm staying in - however, not the same room so I may need to move on the last night.  I'm hoping as we get closer, I'll phone the resort and see if they indeed can combine the two reservations.  I'm ok either way.  But I'm glad that's all taken care of.

Car vibes for bk!  And what about that radiator cap?  Stolen?  I wouldn't doubt it.

Stella escaped this morning, and I spent too much time this morning trying to coax her back into the apartment. Thatch, for the first time ever, decided to see what life existed beyond the door and he tentatively wandered out the door onto the door mat.  All I need now, I thought, is for Annabelle to make a dash for it as well.  As I closed the door, Thatch darted back inside. I decided I'd let Stella wander while I made the bed. When that was finished, I opened the door, and she strolled causally back into the apartment.

At least she knows where the apartment is.  That should bring you some comfort.

No, she and Annabelle both have lousy senses of direction. They wander off to other floors and don't know where they are. I was relieved that I did not have to get the walker and track her from floor to floor.

AAA is on its way to tow the car to my usual service place in Studio City. What I do from there I don't know. Probably have to walk back home or Uber.

Can't you ask a friend for a ride?

Back from the mechanic place. I asked them to please make it as cheap as possible. The tow guy was super nice - he thinks it's the alternator, but when I mentioned that to the mechanic, he just laughed and said tow guys are not mechanics. So, I'll hear from them when they figure out what it is. Praying it's not too costly. Then the tow guy nicely drove me back home.

Tow guys are very smart - and many are mechanics, or used to be.

No, Jiffy Lube did the oil, coolant, water, and filters. If I'd known that that wasn't really the issue I would have gone straight to the mechanic and let him do all that.

Teenagers from Outer Space is also available on youtube.

Thank you, DR KevinH. I don't know why I don't ever think to just start with YouTube when I'm looking for these things. Because if it's there, it's an easy way to see something and be done with it.

Here is a link that has some tidbits about Teenagers From Outer Space......  Scarlet Street ran a very nice article on it several years ago.

https://cultfilmalley.com.au/2019/08/07/tom-graeffs-teenagers-from-outer-space/

The director Tom Graeff played the newspaper reporter Joe under the name Tom Lockyear......and he and David Love - the hero - were lovers in real life......and the dialog was prerecorded and the actor's talked back to the recording to save dubbing costs or something.....

The making of the movie is more interesting than the movie - although I have kind of a soft spot for it...... because of the relationship between Derek and Betty.  [most of the links in the article no longer work.....]

My brother and his wife went to get their second shots today.....and were gone for a long time.

His wife came back in another car......a bit later he came back with his car on the back of a tow truck.....it had overheated.....

Must be an epidemic.

Fun meetings (NOT!) today. I dislike all the joy that coworkers want to spread.

Thank you for all the lovely vibes. The surgery went smoothly, my rides were on time, and I am now home. when I spoke to the office yesterday they told me to come in 45 minutes later than scheduled because they expected the doctor would need more time with this first patient. That made things a little easier to me.
