I'm finally back from a very long day.  Must write the notes and get to bed as I must be up very early for our session.  I'm quite concerned about Vinnie - we know he checked in for sure, but Jonathan left him four messages to meet us at Joe Allen, which he didn't return, there was no message from him on my hotel phone re what time we're going tomorrow, and I got his voice mail when I called.  Worrisome.

Hopefully he  decided to take a nap and turned off the phone ringer

BK-
Let me know the address of that joint, 48th or 38th, if you still need me to shoot some footage on the morrow.

I would be remiss not to mention TWIX, perhaps my favorite candy bar.
Peace.

As for Il Divo, I think there is more demand for "legit" pop singing in Europe rather than in America. Anyone with a real voice is branded as "classical" or "Broadway" and dismissed by America's youth.

But I could see them having a big following in Europe even among teens and twenties.

DR Ron, don't have ANY remorse about the RIP for Rex. I had predicted it, and I was going to watch the show anyway. I don't go looking for spoilers for shows, but if I run across them in my internet travels, I don't mind, especially a whole day after the episode aired. You can't hold on to info forever.

I will miss Steven Culp if Rex is indeed dead. I enjoyed his and Bree's prickly relationship.

DR Matt, have you ever taped/DVR'ed a number of episodes of a particular series, only to fall so far behind in viewing them that you decided to give up on the series?  That happened to me with both Once and Again and Chicago Hope.

Well, I have a cast, but most of them are not available for a week or so, so instead of starting rehearsal on Friday, we start on June 6...hmmmmm

Watvching JUMBO with Miss Doris Day.  It's really too bad that she didn't do a dramatic role opposite Stephen Boyd, they have terrific chemistry in their scenes.

Question:  What #&^$ is that note that Doris and Martha sing at the end of "Why Can't I?" or is my hearing bad?

As it turned out, Vinnie was off having dinner with a friend.  We've spoken and all is well.

Recording is indeed tomorrow morning.

I'll post the notes in about five minutes.
