My car was scheduled for an oil change.....it had taken me from October, 2019, until earlier this month to get the mileage it needed.

When I got to the place this morning, there was only one car ahead of me in my line.....and one next to me....and two up on lifts.....so I figured about an hour or so.

WELL there was a lot of DRAMA at the oil change place.....the boss at a branch in a nearby town needed SOMEONE to come and work at his place.....so everyone was in an uproar trying to decide if someone should go now or later or work all day....and there was general agreement that Bobby at the other place was generally incompetent.

It only took me 45 minutes from parking to leaving....so that's not bad for a 10 minute oil change.  And to learn the ins and outs of running an oil changing place....I also listened to the two guys talking about what they needed to order.....etc.

I just got a lovely Facebook message from someone I don't know:
Just wanted to say I love your blog which I just recently discovered. I lost my 2 beloved kits (14 year old brothers) this year and I enjoy reading of your adventures! Thank you and keep blogging.

I looked him up. His beautuful tigers were named Yoshi and Ninja. It certainly piques my curiosity to know more about the people who occasionally read my blog.

Thanks, DRs Jane and John G!  This will certainly enhance our home’s curb appeal.

I do hope that DR Ginny and DH Richard are practicing their reaction faces in case there is a HGTV-style reveal that is filmed.

Last night we watched the new Criterion release of Original Cast Album: Company, which I caught on its first TV showing nearly fifty years ago. It remains an amazing document, but it means so much more to me now since I knew or worked with so many involved in that amazoing show.

I hate Criterion's display of the extra features, but I did manage to watch the interview with Jonathan Tunick.

Mine came a few days ago.  I want to watch it soon, too.

Yesterday an idiot young married couple went shopping and left their one-year-old baby locked inside their Mercedes. Rescuers broke a window to save the baby. The couple claimed they were checking on the child every 25 minutes and they were pissed their car window was broken. Some fools should never be parents.

WTF?? :o

Slurp crunch is the modern equivalent of Sondheim’s sorry grateful

Oh, I was thinking it was an earlier version of "Boom Crunch" from Into the Woods.

My new Facebook fan told me he found my blog through a comment I had made on a cat rescue site called "Super Heroes In Ripped Jeans!" I see on the stats for my blog that I have readers in China, Korea, Australia (I'm sure it's the long gone DR Tom of Oz), Ireland, England, Germany, and the USA, but I would love to know who some of them are.

DR George I found another interesting article on J&J.  Interesting to me is that it suggests a booster might be needed, only to do it as DR Jennifer did, with the similar AstraZeneca, and get an mRNA vaccine.

I have friends who are getting their third shots by just going into a pharmacy and mentioning their health issues, like cancer.

Then there is the ex-neighbor who went into our local Safeway pharmacy and got a third shot.  She had her second one in April and said it as if that was a long time ago  ::)

Following the 8-month rule, I wouldn't even be eligible for a booster shot until January 2022.

Off to rehearsal.
I spoke to the new neighbor lady....in the house behind me.  She was sitting on her front porch smokng.

I asked her if anyone was a day sleeper because I was going to mow the lawn tomorrow.  She said her son Sebastian was....he usually goes to bed about 11 a.m. because he works 3rd shift in Bloomington - the town where MR BK's publisher is located.

I told her I would finish the backyard before then.....her name is Libby.....

You have had cancer so I don't believe you are under the eighth month rule.  It might be sooner.
