A friend who owns a couple of nice pet stores ranted on Facebook yesterday.  This is part of her rant.

a long time customer... come into one of my stores and ask me if I could get IVERMECTIN... no mask either.  I said no... not just no... but HELL NO!!... and walked away.

 ::)

I love that she said HELL NO!

:)) Good for your friend!!

She mentioned she has been harassed by anti-maskers, including giving her terrible reviews on google.  Then they got tired of her and moved on to the hospital.

Darn!  I wanted to attach a picture to a post, but I got this message:

I wonder if it's because I'm on my phone out in the front yard. :-\

I just tried inside the house, close to her modem, and it still didn't work.

The picture that I want to add is only 126kb, so it's not that the file size is too large.

And I've definitely added pictures from my phone before, so it's not that, either.

I wondered if anyone was talking about Willard Scott passing away here yet.

Jrand, I had this casting thought on Facebook abut a musical version of MAIN EVENT

Who could have done Eddie Scanlon at Putnam back in the day? Anyone who could also move well and also be able to pull off Ryan O'Neal's boxing trunks?

I think Birdie/Thelma was suggesting you, since when Siri described the costuming needs of the moment, Birdie said "Hmm, you don't know Jack, do you?"

He was only 87.  Too bad he didn't make it to 100 since he use to celebrate 100th birthdays on The Today Show.

When my dad turned 100 last September (2020), I'd looked for whether that was still celebrated, but I couldn't find anything.  Dad passed away Feb 13 2021, but 100 plus six months is a nice run that I wouldn't imagine for myself.

TCB, I'm sorry you're not feeling well. Having had the Covid test I can say that it wasn't horrible--at least mine wasn't. I think a lot depends on who does the swab. I do hope you don't have Covid and soon feel better.

I have begun "Annabelle & Thatch" submissions again. The book is better now, and I'm hopeful. I've done seven since yesterday afternoon. The impossible agency is ICM. I defy antone to find a literary agent on their site:

I really hope this works out for you!

Ha! I must not have been the only person to complain. They will mail paper tickets to me, except for the Hamilton one. They'll hold that one at will-call.

I'm glad to hear that the ticket problem has been resolved. Did they correct  the parking, too?

We got our lease renewal letter, with a few options.

But the monthly rent was going to be higher if we renewed for 18 months than if we renewed for 12.

I thought, that can't be right.

8 rounds of emails later, it was still not resolved.

So yesterday, I went down to the office, put the letter in front of them, and asked them to explain it.

Oh...  I guess we transposed the two lines...

Not only did they not apologize, but their excuse was, It's very busy down here.

How annoying. I don't have to ask, "Doesn't anyone proof things anymore?' because I know the answer. But threy could have at least apologized.

I am so glad that DR LAURA made some progress in her ticket debacle.

I think this is what happens when they put somebody YOUNGER in charge of something.  They just ASSUME that everybody can and/or will bow to their technology.

And you know what happens when you ASS U ME.

I agree that younger people assume that everyone has and knows how to use technology, but I see this too from companies whose managers are likely to be a bit older. As businesses they of course have relatively up-to-date computers, printers, scanners, etc. But many individuals do not! There doesn't seem to be any thought given to their customers -- what they might or might not have or what they would prefer. Only what works for the company. I encounter this a lot and admit it's become a sore point. I find myself saying, "Thtat doesn't work for me" more often than I'd like.
