That's too bad about the food mix-up, BK. That's happened to me too a few times over the years. The only times that I've gone back were when I was still fairly close to the place, and I also absolutely wouldn't eat the food that they gave me. I hate it when that happens.

The 9/11 memorials are already taking up the local news channels, and I'm in a rather sad mood, mourning not just a tragic day in the city I love but also deceased friends and family I love, not one of whom died on 9/11.

We've had those periods where a cat doesn't eat and he/she throws up until there's nothing left to throw up, and a few hours later (or by next morning) it passes.

I finished cleaning the litter and walked out of the bathroom. Thatch was waiting patiently for some kibble while Stella hogged the dish. I guess he's feeling better.

I worry about him because of his bad heart, and every time he shows signs of feeling poorly, it frightens me.

I've had fast food mix-ups but I can't think of any in particular to relate.

This was Popeye's, right? We have, over the past year, brought home a number of Popeye's orders, and they have indeed left things out or substituted something or what not. Sometimes they'll say "oh we were out of that so we gave you [whatever] instead", but that's after we've called them on it or gone through the line again. Why doesn't that notification happen while they're preparing the order? Huh? I ask you.

I made the bed just as the memorial service began, so I lay down, Annabelle climbed onto my lap, Thatch curled up next to me, and I watched the reading of the names through B. I'll take the garbage down, then come back and watch some more.

This isn't a food mix-up, but I so miss the days - this was around 1989-1991 - when Domino's Pizza had the deal where if a delivery didn't arrive in 30 minutes, it was free. Because I lived right in the sweet spot just far enough away from the jernt where that happened a few times, and they were true to their word and the driver would say, "here you go, it's free". I'd always tip big for that and everyone was happy.

So now someone is suggesting Two By Two. Is it done much these days? This is for a 100-seat house and there would only be room for a piano/bass/drums combo.

Much as I love Richard Rodgers, I've never cared for the show or the score. I'd suggest Ernest in Love or a revue like Jacques Brel , that Harry Chapin revue, or Starting Here, Starting Now.

I think the worst food mixups are when I ask to leave something off and they don’t do it. I stopped going to Panera because they refused to sell me a salad that hadn’t been tossed in one of their icky sweet dressings. At least they refunded my money.

Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. have released an album of Lennon-McCartney songs. I always liked the Fifth Dimension, so I was looking forward to this. I’m halfway through. It’s somewhat strange, but her voice now sounds a lot like his. It will take a couple of listens to appreciate it more fully. I did like their version of Ticket to Ride.

Thanks for all the comments and vibes.....after tonight's performance we will have TWO days off.

My uncle called and his laptop had a crazy screen and we couldn't do anything. So Monday I will take it to the computer place and see if they can fix it.

No need to spend more than $75 or so - it only cost $250 new and that was two years ago.
