Because my “allergy” symptoms are persisting I called our doctor’s office today and had a very illuminating chat with Amanda.  She said it’s possible my test was too early to detect the virus, but they’re not recommending retesting.  She said to treat my symptoms with over-the-counter meds and watch for worsening.  Apparently I am not the first patient to have this kind of experience.

I'm not calling AAA until Kristi has picked up the pizza and we've all had a nice repast. Then they can come out and I'll drive it around to fully recharge it.

That sounded like a better plan.

You might want to confirm if it is or isn't covid to know if you need a booster once they are available.

All is well with the car. In the heat of battle, I'd completely forgotten that the others were already on their way home and that we could jump-start it, totally avoiding the AAA. Which we did. I'm so glad I'd decided to wait to call them.

Also, completely unbeknownst to me, Nathan has an older charging unit here that, in a pinch, can do the job. It has to be plugged in, but we mostly want it for around the house anyway. But I think we'll still want to get the BK one. Those are great units, in addition to being portable.

And yes, we know of two (count 'em) other people, all with different kinds of cars, who have had this happen from an interior light being on. Those things will run it down.

Picked up a package, made faux stroganoff with chicken, over rice. The microwave rice bag burst open in the last two seconds. Thankfully it wasn't too terrible, just annoying. Equally annoying is that the other important envelope has been sitting at Vitello's for over a week - no one bothered to inform me of that fact. The time before I'd asked for it to be held there as I was going to lunch there and would pick it up - an hour before I arrived they mailed it because no one passed on that information. So, I'll pick it up tomorrow, but now it won't be credited until Tuesday and I could have had it over a week ago. We're gonna just make a rule that it be held and that someone needs to let me know when it's there. Booked the December date for Kritzerland, not the date I wanted because she gave that one away even though I'd given her my want first. That will stop, too.

I'm gonna watch a motion picture on Prime now - they have the Todd Haynes movie where a bunch of different actors play Bob Dylan.

And now, I'm leaving work to drive Margo's sister to the airport, then Margo and I are going to the movies.

So, we're back from dropping off Margo's sister at the airport.  I bought tickets for the movie and am waiting for Margo to get here.

I like the cast CD of The Buddy Holly Story although I have never seen the show.

When we were in London - it was playing and there was a great marquee -   I wanted to see it, but the others in the group wanted to see Lettice & Lovage....so we saw that instead....

I saw  Maggie Smith in Lettice and Lovage on Broadway.  One of my favorite theatre experiences

OMG, the rainstorms last night, especially around midnight when I'd planned on being asleep -- incredible. Twice within the time span of a few weeks, the first being the "remnants" of Ida, we were hearing what sounded like the hardest rainfall EVER.

Today is sunny and clear and certainly cooler. Oh yeah, that was something else, too, last night. The temperature and humidity were relatively high, and the air was soaked. Soaked air. Yep. Had to run the A/C for a bit in my bedroom just to quit feeling sticky, even though the actual temperature would have been perfectly comfortable otherwise.

I don’t know whether the major wind and rain missed us or if I slept through it
