Michael Tilson Thomas is retiring because he has brain cancer.

Oh, no!

Almost done with The Bravest Voices, which I am enjoying, as much as you can about the horrors of WWII. Maybe I'll stay with the theme and move on next to The War that Saved My Life.

And I’m now watching Summer of Soul, which may be my favorite movie of last year. At least the first hour is a high.

The minister tonight said that she was walking in downtown today. She already had ashes on her forehead from an earlier-in-the-day service. She greeted a stranger with a "hello" in passing. He started, looked a her, pointed, and said, "Ash Wednesday! Congrats!"

Do you play the lower, bigger bells, DR John G.? Or the mid-range, or the higher bells? Do you have a fixed position, or does everyone switch it up?

DR Jennifer, I am very sorry for your loss.

The death of my mother was gut-wrenching, so I commiserate with you all.

To all who sent chiro vibes, THANK YOU.

I had a decent session.  It will be some weeks, I think, before the kinks are sorted out.  The doctor said the inflammation in my lower back appears to have developed over some years.

I'm not sure about that, but I have been moving about a bit better today after treatment.  I don't go back until Monday, but I will be there bright and early at 9 a.m. that day.

The day was all right, as such days go.

After my appointment, I picked up mail at the post office and found a package slip in my box.  It was a large, heavy box that I was just able to carry to my car.  "Heavy" is a figurative term meaning it wasn't light as air, and it did make me fear discomfort to my lower back.  Nevertheless, I got it into the car.

I then decided I was hungry enough to go somewhere for food.  I called the club and ordered the rib-eye steak special with a side of onion rings and an unsweetened tea.  It was VERY good.

I "rested" for the rest of the day.  Well, actually, I did a huge load of clothes which I dried in three separate batches.  Got it all done and folded and on hangers, as appropriate.  I feel quite current with the dirty stuff cleaned and put away.

I wish I could do more, and I may be able to by week's end.  The trick is to not push myself too hard.

I play wherever needed. Tonight I played F and G in the treble clef.

Now I've started watching a Myrna Loy comedy called Lucky Night. It's not bad, but it's easy to see why it was forgotten.
