I have many things to do today.

Tomorrow is primary day in South Carolina, and I must cast my votes for candidates who will not win in this very red state.

I have physical therapy Thursday morning, so I must gear up for that.

The porch man did not show up either Saturday or Sunday.

Very disappointed...and mad.

Will be calling him this evening after I have simmered down a bit more.

I love Bernadette, but I believe I have now seen - and heard - her actually growing old. And the tribute as a whole was kind of a nothing burger. I know it couldn't be long, but it needed to be something different, somehow.

Now that Bob the Street Cat has been killed, Annabelle's new crush is Pip the Beach Cat.

No sooner had I typed that comment about my porch man when I got a text from him apologizing.  He said he will be here soon.

We shall see.

Monday morning greetings!  After a very people-y couple of days Friday and Saturday, I didn’t even feel like socializing virtually yesterday.

And speaking of growing old, it hurts to say this, but ... Chita Rivera ... were her hands really shaking like a sonofabitch as she opened that envelope, or what? And did she almost stumble while walking on?

We did watch the Tonys last night, but didn’t see anything that made us want to jump on a plane to New York.

About that “76 Trombones” dance number:  has it been moved in the show?  I don’t think Marian would dance that enthusiastically with Harold Hill as early in the story as that song usually appears.  And I still don’t see Sutton Foster as Marian…

My favorite moment was when Danny Burstein reached down to help Deirdre O’Connell up the steps.  What a kind gesture.

No, I'm told that's the curtain call number they did last night.

But the whole idea of making The Music Man a tap dancing show in the first place is just hideous, in my puny little brain.

Saturday evening Richard and I sat in theatre seats for the first time since November 2019.  Well, it was Miami University’s Hall Auditorium, but close enough.  We were there for the Men’s Glee Club Alumni concert, which was wonderful.  It was live-streamed on the Glee Club’s Facebook page, so my sister joined us from Michigan and her daughter from Florida.

Thanks for the clarification, DR ChasSmith.

I recorded last night's Tony show in hopes of seeing Angela Lansbury receive her lifetime achievement award.

I was shocked to read that it was only presented during the pre-show, and I was very concerned about her not having done an acceptance video.

Bless her heart!

So much better than what we saw on CBS at 8pm...

From TCB:

I am surprised he hasn't had his eyes done since that does interfere with your vision.

Afterwards I was able to briefly meet him

Cool.  I have seen him dance but did not get to meet him.

Leonard decided we should get up at 3:30 this morning. I got up with him so my DH could sleep.

We had an agave that bloomed this year. Earlier it shot up a stalk that grew about a half foot a day, it seemed. It was about 30 or more feet tall and leaning over to fall onto our house.

We are supposed to get a storm this weekend, so we felt we needed to do something.
We pulled it over this morning so we could control where it fell and wouldn't damage anything. We've had enough falling things this year.

DH cut the stalk, which was actually soft inside. I was able to carry it out to the alley in pieces. But the base ... I don't know how I'll get that moved.
