An early Sinatra memory, music-wise, was hearing him sing "It Was a Very Good Year" on afternoon TV, probably the Merv Griffin show which we really liked, and I was very taken with that song because of the arrangement and scoring. Other than that, I came to appreciate his musical work much later in life. I love the Capitol Records era and some of the Reprise.
At that time I had already enjoyed a couple of his films, notably Robin and the 7 Hoods, and I got to know and appreciate many more of them through the years.
