Sorry I didn't elaborate about the accident. No injury to either driver. I was in one of those left turn lanes where both of the two left lanes turn left or the middle lane can also go straight in to an alley. There is a third lane that turns right, but we don't care about the right turn. The other driver was in the far left lane and I was in the middle lane turning left. Once you have turned left most drivers want to turn right two blocks down. So, most drivers get in the lane I was in. The other driver apparently had never been on this street, because she turned left directly to where my car was going.

Unfortunately, the other driver spoke almost zero English. I believe she may have been Korean. because we were in Korea Town section of Lakewood. We were not getting anywhere until she called her husband to come up to the accident. He spoke slightly more English than she (her? Whatever!). In the mean time I had called 911 and explained that I knew they usually didn't respond to fender benders, but I was having a language problem.

They sent a cop who showed up after we had already exchanged our info. He ask if we had, we said yes, and he said, "Okay, see ya."
